5 out of 5 eggsA device all garage should have

Pros: Simplicity, Price, Function, Ease of use

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: My garage door was left opened one evening and our lawn equipment missing the next morning. There are hundreds of devices out there which could prevent that from happening again, but when it comes to the simplicity and how much you have to pay for the extra sense of security, this is your answer. You simply attach the tilt sensor with the 3M velcro tape it comes with on the inside of your garage door, and the the receiver plugged to your 110V outlet anywhere(I put it in my bedroom so I can see that green LED before going to sleep). The batteries on the tilt sensor can easily be replaced by removing it from the garage door, put it new batteries and reattach to the velcro tape. It is not the prettiest solution out there, not it's as high tech as night vision camera with motion sensors that triggers alarm (have fun running power cables and attaching all kinds of mounting devices for the camera and adjusting it so that it'd 'see' what's coming). This doesn't take pictures, but tells you the status of your garage door => Open? Close? and it took me 2 minutes to install it.
