I finally picked one up and was a bit skeptical. Installation was simple and range was good. I used my unit to cover the entry of my front yard right at the curb of the road. After getting it in the right spot the only thing that trips the unit is people walking past the unit into my yard, I mounted about 3.5 feet high and it seems to not trip with cats and dogs, and that is 100% required for me. Overall I really like this unit, it does what I need and thats to give me a pre-warning of someone coming on my property at night (mostly turn off during the day). As a side note the unit I have had an issue after a few months and I called Chamberlain, they where helpful and friendly and promptly sent a replacement. I can't say much more. I give more stars if there was more to give. Cons: This unit is easily susceptible to water entering the unit, make sure you use the rain hood provided and if possible mount somewhere dry. The unit is a pain to change out batteries, however its suppose to last a year between changes.
