1 out of 5 eggsstay away from esecure

Pros: dvr works

Cons: Stay away from all esecure products. there is no way to integrate them with smart phones as they advertise.

Other Thoughts: Made a bad choice try another brand

Pros: Had this system about 5 mos. Working GOOD so far. NO ISSUE. Images clear, sharp on day time. Recording very good.

Cons: Hard to aim, images wasn't good in night time (spec. note)

Other Thoughts: Can not complain with that price. Good enough for me.

2 out of 5 eggsEsecure is a joke

Pros: look neat for someone who wants their own home security system.

I was excited about it then after I open it to install the HDD, the circuit board says it all. its a cheap prototype.
will not back up and can't have the network set up

the manufacturer will not honor the warranty humanely without a heated argument.
newegg was helpful on my case

Other Thoughts: if you want something decent, for a secure home system I WONT RECOMMENT ESECURE

2 out of 5 eggsExtremely Aggravating

Pros: Cameras are the best part of this system. Solid construction although brackets need more adjustments. Easy to install. Video looks great live through my HD 1080P tv, but playback of recordings loses quality. Internet streaming loses a lot of quality, but is viewable. Without the good cameras I would have rated this a 1.

Cons: Camera brackets need more adjustment options, it is hard to aim easily. The DVR is one of the most aggravating, un-user friendly I have ever seen. The remote barely works and only from close range. Have to go through many steps to change simple settings, extremely aggravating. The cameras work great in the dark but only indoors or outside where there is something to reflect light, such as pavement or shed. The night vision range is about 15 feet with no reflective background, much farther with a little light(I have outside flood light). Motion detection is far to sensitive even on lowest setting, rain and snow set it off constantly with camera mounted under a small roof out of weather. Direction are hard to understand, written in broken English, incorrrect translations, and do not explain what the settings actually do, but good enough that with a little patients the average person can probably figure them out. Remote is terrible, no labels for buttons so trial and error was the way

Other Thoughts: If the DVR was easier to use and a lot more user friendly, this would be a pretty decent system. As is I would not recommend but I am not sure other systems are any better. The cameras are good quality, I would buy them separately with a different DVR. People without patients and some computer skills will probably have major problems figuring everything out and setting up the internet access. A pretty good system for indoor use, not so great outside in dark.
