Has special bumps on the back to coil the wire behind the device so that you don’t have excess cable length out and about that you don’t need or want to see. Despite my many issues as seen below, the customer support is fantastic. Every time they responded very quickly and gave me very thorough and useful responses. Cons: The included double sided tape wasn’t very good and it fell off of my wall. The app could use a redesign as it isn’t very intuitive. The manual control for just turning on the AC unit is very weird. There is an on/off switch that that has to be set to whatever state your AC unit is currently in and then you have to press the start button which is what actually turns on the AC unit. Just a power button would be better. The up and down temperature controls worked during the configuration wizard but after that the manual control for changing the temperature didn’t do anything. No matter how many resets I did, it allows worked during the setup but never after it was done. The smart scheduling feature is great idea but I have yet to see it work. It might be a bad setup on my part because the app is confusing or it just doesn’t like my AC unit. Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, this device relies heavily on your AC unit not being old and useless. For example, features like fan speed control were not available at all for me because my AC unit is not good enough or is missing something. All I can assume from the setup is that I need a AC unit with a remote with an LCD screen then maybe I would more functionality. Overall with more updates to the app this device will only get better.
