5 out of 5 eggsGreat for HOME SECURITY.

Pros: First off, this camera is excellent for home security. I picked up 2 from a local store and both set up and streamed to IP Cam Viewer within 5 minutes (+10 minutes for mounting the hardware). It's not meant for a pre-exsisting system. It's meant as a quick solution for average users. Cheap and effective. If you're like me, you had a decent PC sitting around that can run dedicated for the software that's included. The software does output to secondary monitor full screen, records all incoming streams individually, scheduled recording alarm notifications and duplex audio. It's more robust than you would think. I recommend this to anyone who needs a quick door cam, porch cam or nanny cam. It's expandable and can handle up to 16 devices.

Cons: None that I've found.

Other Thoughts: As I said, it's not professional, it's consumer and that's really what they gear it towards.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't flash the firmware!

Pros: Initial setup was fairly easy.

Cons: 1. My needs required the ability to use this as an IP camera with other software. This camera appears to only work with its own proprietary software making it very difficult to integrate into a surveillance system.
2. After flashing the firmware to the latest version, the camera was bricked. TP-Link Tech support walked me through the obvious solutions and then suggested I get in touch with Newegg for RMA. Sadly TP-Link Tech support are useless.

Other Thoughts: If I wanted to hook up to a simple network and watch my baby crawl around on the floor while I'm neglecting her, then this is a good setup. However for those that are looking for a solid solution in an IP camera, this is to be avoided. Useless proprietary software renders this camera irrelevant in todays market. better and cheaper units out there that can do what this one does.

Newegg, as always, was fantastic with how they handled the RMA issue. It is obviously not their fault, but they support the customer all the way! Cheers Newegg!!
