1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Great features....if they all worked properly

Cons: I'm not sure if I got a dud, but I was very disappointed in this camera. Bought it mainly for the 2-way audio, which unfortunately for me, didn't work. The user interface was a bit complicated, especially the scheduling for motion detection, and there was nothing in the manual/user guide that explained what blue and red meant. Also, I would change some options, but it refused to save it. After trying multiple times, it finally accepted the changes I made. Other disappointing feature was the motion detection itself. Face it towards a wall and the motion dection would go berserk and flood my email with 1000s of messages. face it towards the road and when a car would pass by it wouldn't trigger the motion detection. These were the same results regardless of how I set up the sensitivity and threshold. Only good as a monitor camera since motion detection is unreliable. Very disappointed :(

Other Thoughts: Setup was weird, since it uses two IP addresses. One address for the wired connection and another for the wireless connection. In your router, wireless will show up as qmik. Under Network and Information, the IP address there is your wired connection. Click "Wireless" for your wireless IP address. This took a while to figure out, all my other surveillance cameras only had one IP address. Again, they made things a lot more complicated than it should be.

5 out of 5 eggsI like it and the image is clear

Pros: I have dlink wired webcams before so I have some experience with web cameras. They straight forward to setup. I used the wired network connection to setup the wireless passwords etc. and they worked as expected when I went wireless at the deployment location.

I like the image quality over our current webcams but they are 3 years newer in technology.

Cons: I contacted tech support about turning off the audio in setup. Currently the viewer has the option of listening to the mic on the camera or not. Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of.

If you go directly to the camera you have to authenticate with one of the accounts you can create and there are a lot of slots for accounts. Not worth subtracting an egg as if you use rtsp you can avoid the password issue and the audio issue.

Other Thoughts: It does have a zoom feature that is interesting if you access the camera directly. At this point I am recommending we purchase more.

If you need an external speaker if you want to remotely talk through the camera.
