2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks great, relatively easy set-up. Mounting brackets are pretty sold.

Cons: DOA. Once I mounted it and got it grounded, nothing happened when I tried charging it. I have power running to the capacitor and to the amp, but the capacitor doesn't charge or light up at all.

Other Thoughts: $15 instant savings, $16 to ship it back for a replacement...gotta love it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great, fixed my problems.

Pros: -The only WORKING solution for the annoying issues I was having with my bass system. See other thoughts.

A capacitor is a capacitor. A $150 capacitor is still a capacitor, but with a different logo on it. This thing is cheap and does its job!

BOSS Audio manufactured; I've had only positive experiences with their products before.

I would recommend this to any bass system with high demands.

Cons: Installation directions seem simple enough, however, they do not mention when to connect the 12V+ power on wire for the display. Charging doesn't work so well when the display (12V) power wire is connected before the cap is charged up.

-Made in China.
-Cheap plastic mounting brackets.

Continued from Other Thoughts..
I had an 80A inline fuse and I blew replaced two that blew out on different occasions. However, it wasn't always the fuse blowing. Most of the time it would shut off, leaving me to check every single connection in my system. After installing this capacitor, the majority of the stress on the electrical system has been put on the capacitor, and I've had no more issues. The bass feels much more powerful in some of my crazy dubstep songs than it did with the old battery/no capacitor installed.

Other Thoughts: Perhaps somebody is having the same issue as I was prior to installing this capacitor..
I have 2 Kicker CVR 12" in my SUV which pull 800W RMS @ 2Ω. I have a Kenwood 9105D 900W RMS amplifier. My amplifier kept on shutting off. It was not going into protect mode, it just shut off whenever the bass got really loud and deep. When I say loud, I mean to the point where it feels difficult to breathe. The amp would just turn off, and turn on randomely, sometimes never until I took the power wire off the battery (at the fuse box). Best Buy Geek Squad even checked it out, said everything's good. If you listen to music that has sudden bass drops or very low frequencies that you like to play loud, it puts lots of demand on the battery. I even bought a new 700CCA battery for my 4Runner...didn't fix the issue. Anyways, I have concluded that the amp was not getting the current that it needed, so it turned itself off. [Move up to cons, out of room].

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!

Pros: Does everything expected from it with incredible ease. Within minutes, I had this installed and was driving around putting out an enormous amount of bass without my lights dimming or my car wanting to stall.

Cons: The connections in the cap itself need to have some other type of protection around them. If you were to put something conductive next to it and it hits the connectors, you get a LARGE lightning bolt.

Other Thoughts: Incredibly satisfied with the price to performance ratio.
