Rosewill - DVI Female to HDMI Male Adapter

Pros: It's inexpensive, and it works. With laptops, Trinity/Llano motherboards, and some tablets having only HDMI out, this is one of those must-have adapters you stick in a drawer until you need it (I bought this for a system I built from parts on Newegg and the board only had VGA and HDMI ports).

Cons: DHL shipping which added 3 days to the trip. Hey Newegg, you know you CAN contract with USPS directly to ship stuff, it's called Delivery Confirmation, 79¢ on first class mail and free on Priority Mail. Apparently this is also now a discontinued item, shame as it is still a basic adapter graphics cards manufacturers usually don't include.

Other Thoughts: It does what you need it to for a low price.

Pros: Basic and works well as intended.

Cons: None

Pros: This is absolutely the greatest adapter ever created! It's built as if designed to withstand the extreme conditions of outer space. Perhaps even the entire universe. Don't even think about buying a different adapter.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The first night this adapter arrived, I didn't hook it up. I put it under my pillow and slept like a baby. I felt so wonderful because I had this adapter. Even if you have no need for a DVI (female) to HDMI (male) adapter, I strongly urge you to buy this!

Pros: This adapter works great on both my Dell laptops and my Acer and Samsung monitors. The HDMI end firmly fits into my laptop and the other end of the adapter easily plugs into any standard DVI cable that comes with your modern monitor. Others have complained that this adapter is too bulky. If I used my E-Sata connection on my laptop it would block it. I would just get a simple 12 foot hdmi extension dongle. That would fix the E-Sata problem.

Pros: Does exactly what i need. Ordered it in, took right at 3 days, opened the package, plugged, and played. Glad i finally have my 2nd monitor working again.

Cons: a _little_ bulky... its a bit in the way of my other monitor plug, i kind of had to force them both to fit. They aren't straining to stay, though. No problems, just a little something i had to work with.

Other Thoughts: Would definitely purchase again, but hopefully i won't have to.

Pros: Arrived really fast. NewEgg saved me $45. It really saves to order online! Cheers!

Pros: Good paper wieght

Cons: I bought this to hook up a third monitor to my HIS 5770, if you plug it in to the videocard it block's the othere DVI port. so I will need a HDMI cord to. A little high priced (probably HDMI royalties)

Other Thoughts: If I would have took the time to look at the othere side of my computer and thought about it for a miniute I would have bought a hdmi to dvi cable. If your tring to hook up a 3rd monitor on your ATI take this in to account.

Pros: Inexpensive. Passes signals just fine, even the audio signals. Lets you use a DVI cable instead of paying for a new HDMI cable.

Cons: The HDMI connector does not fit exactly tight into the video card I'm using, but I don't see the signal degradation another reviewer reported. It fits a tad loose such that the cable would probably pop out if you bumped/tugged it a bit hard.

Pros: solid connectors, nice signal pass through

Pros: it does the job... barely

Cons: the HDMI part fits very loosely into the socket and must be wiggled around continuously in order to stop the most aggravating green dots and lines that appear all over the screen when in use. You can make these nuisances disappear, but it takes a lot of tampering in order for the HDMI part to fit into the socket just right for that [insert word here] to disappear.

Other Thoughts: I've been using it on my PS3, and i have tested it with other cables to make sure that it is not the PS3. Great price but very poor quality. I was very disappointed with Rosewill considering everything else i have used from them has worked very well.
