Pros: Did what we needed it to. The extra length was awesome.

Cons: Doesn't work with laptop to TV connection. Purchased for this reason only. Looked at what was different and it seems that Pin 9 is missing and causes the Laptop & TV to not recognize each other.

Other Thoughts: Called Rosewill and explained the situation. The technician said that I didn't get a bad cable as that is how they are all manufactured. He gave me credit for the cable. Will purchase something different.

Pros: Works just fine, no issues. Its long enough to go from my Insignia LCD TV to my current build and my Laptop when I want the second screen. And the Audio cable being added is pretty cool, no worrying about buying one of those.

Cons: This was my own fault. When using the VGA cable on my laptop, I moved my hand on it on accident (Force of habit putting my hand there) and I heard plastic or something equivalently breaking, though, the VGA cable was suddenly difficult to keep in the socket of the Laptop, it still worked just fine.

Other thing is also my own issue, just working out the Resolution settings between my laptop and the VGA cable, though it seems to be just fine. I had to write down the settings to make sure not to mess up the next time.

Other Thoughts: All in all, does what its supposed to, good length, reasonable price. Audio cable was good, it seems fine to me. Glad I was able to get it rather then buying one from some other place that would have been more expensive.

Pros: 1 cable for audio and video

Cons: cheap pins

Other Thoughts: After using it only 5 times, 2 pins broke off, 1 on each end of cable.

Pros: Seems well constructed and is of the length I needed.

Cons: Because it does not transmit the EDID from the monitor, my resolution choices changed from my maximum of 1920x1200 down to 1024x768. I can quickly force it from the command line, but this is not the ideal choice. I am currently using 2 generic VGA cables joined by a F/F gender changer that does allow me to default to my native resolution.

Other Thoughts: Not particularly happy about having to pay to return a defective item. Depending on the cost I may just trash this and hope the other cable I plan to buy will work as intended: N82E16812816041 ( I do not need the 3.5mm audio cable this cable provided )

Note: using a KVM, so I can reduce the clutter on my desk and still display the BIOS info on my servers when needed, or work on another PC without plugging in a monitor and keyboard.

Pros: None - Defective Pin right out of the sealed bag

Other Thoughts: I’ve purchased plenty of Rosewill products over the years with zero problems… until I purchased this 15 ft SVGA cable.

I methodically tested this 15 ft cable on (3) different HDTVs … one Sceptre, one Panasonic and one Samsung and even tried the cable with (2) different laptops: one HP/Compaq and one Toshiba.

Each time I tested I got the same result: either a black TV screen or in some cases a “not supported” error message on the TV.

After each failure I substituted the Roseville cable with a 6-ft D-Sub cable and every laptop worked with every TV.

Then I did what I should have done in the first place, I got out my multimeter to check the Roseville SVGA pins.

Result: Pin 15 is dead dead dead… no continuity whatsoever, zero resistance reading. And of course these are moulded connectors with no way to open them up and see which end, or both, has the broken wire. If I could, I would solder it and be on my way.

So how does a cable like this ever get through the manufacturer’s testing before being packaged and sold?

Unfortunately for me, I purchased the cable in late December to use at a condo we use a few times a year and needed the 15ft length to get from the TV to a coffee table and my laptop. I didn’t discover it was defective until the middle of April, so since it can't be repaired, in the trash it goes.

Unfortunately for Rosewill, I always remember the experience of my last purchase of any vendor’s product. I doubt I’ll be buying anything from them anytime soon.

Pros: Worked out of the box for my needs which was 1080p 3D output to my Acer H5360 3D Projector from one of my GT 440's.

Cons: Really thick so it's kinda hard to flex but it's not a big problem.

Pros: Good quality signal.

Cons: Does not carry EDID data, which means the video card cannot automatically detect the monitor type. Unusable in my environment, with 4 computers connected to a KVM, which requires that the cable carry the EDID data.

Other Thoughts: I had high hopes. A similar cable purchased from a competitor did not have these problems.

Pros: Dude, it's vga! I use it as an extra input for an old machine I use for simplicities to connect to my 32" TV. My gaming machine is connected via HDMI.

Cons: Can't complain

Pros: Works good. good quality. Nice thick cable. The audio jacks come out right behind the VGA head and are about a foot long. and are also a A nice thick size with good quality sound. AWESOME customer assistance see other thoughts.
