5 out of 5 eggsTV Mount

Pros: I received the mount very quickly. The packaging was fine and all arrived in perfect shape. I inspected the mount for problems listed in other reviews and found none of the problems. All of the hardware is very high quality and after taking it apart and greesing it, the movement is smooth. The mounting hardware is complete and the bolts included fit the Samsung 55" TV. Due to the weight of the mount I agree that two people should be used to install the mount. I measured and marked the studs , pre drilled the holes and after installing the first bolt we levelled and finished the installation in about a half hour. Very impressed with this mount.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The mount came with the hardware to install the mount to the wall and to the TV. Plus extra items for mounting to any TV . Including bolts spacers washers and drywall inserts (not recommended). Its my opinion that a installation just into drywall would not hold this mount or a large TV.

2 out of 5 eggsSo hard to move

Pros: As others have said, very sturdy.

Cons: "Cable management" loops are useless. They wouldn't hold a simple HDMI cable without buckling under the stress when the cable moved around. The loops just fell off. I will use zip ties instead.

The articulating feature would be nice, but it is extremely difficult to move the mount around. There are several places where you can adjust the tension of the joints by using an allen wrench. Well, on my unit some of these joints are so overtightened from the factory that I cannot untighten them without stripping the hole for the allen wrench. They are physically impossible to get loose.

Since these bolts are so overtightened, the mount creaks and moans when I move it back and forth, and it is so stiff that my wife cannot even budge it. I can do it but it's a pain. It will come out from the wall and swivel, but it's way more difficult than it should be, and the adjustment points simply will not get any looser.

I tried using spray lubricant similar to WD-40, and it helped only a little bit.

My other issue is that it doesn't hold a position very well. The TV likes to rotate clockwise/counterclockwise when I'm struggling to pull it out from the wall or push it back in. It also likes to keep tilting more and more forward over time, which is annoying, I have to get a friend to help tilt it back to vertical.

Other Thoughts: I have an older 42" plasma TV that weighs about 70 lbs mounted to this.

Wish I had bought a higher-end mount. This one is sturdy enough but typical Rosewill not following through on the details. I have said once before, I am finished buying Rosewill products after too many problems... this time I am serious.

4 out of 5 eggsGood mount, quality control issue....

Pros: This is a SOLID mount. I have no concerns about putting the maximum allowable weight on it. It is very, very well built and the angles that you can adjust to are great.

Cons: The quality control issue with this mount is that it is not properly lubricated at the factory. For those who have found this mount stiff and difficult to move, do the following: all of the pivot points have bolts. Remove them (carefully so you don't have to crawl around trying to find the nuts and washers) - 4 at wall plate, 2 in middle, and 2 at the front by the TV attachment. Take them out 1 at a time and lubricate them with lithium grease (not the spray). Reinsert the removed bolt and tighten it prior to moving onto the next bolt. Do not overtighten them! After lubrication, you will find that the mount moves with complete ease, as it should out of the factory. There was little to no lubrication on the 2 that I purchased. That is not a design issue, but rather a quality control issue.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunate that Rosewill would allow a simple thing to be overlooked. Simple quality control steps would eliminate a number of negative reviews and the loss of potential customers that resulted.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mount!

Pros: -Very strong.
-Tons of mobility.
-Holds the load without any uncomfortable swaying or bending.

Cons: -My TV required smaller screws than what came with the mount, but it wasn't a problem, I managed to dig some out of my little pile.

Other Thoughts: -The bolts are extremely stiff, so when moving around the TV, unless you're using an extremely large TV you may need to loosen them a little bit to get the movement you want.

5 out of 5 eggsSturdy mounts

Pros: Well built and capable of plenty of weight.

Cons: The only draw back is the stiffness in the motion. With a 40" LED TV the TV flexes when trying to change the visible angle. Not a big deal as its extremely easy to remove the TV from the mount.

Other Thoughts: would definitely buy again for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: This has been working great for nearly 2 years now. Granted, I don't adjust my TV much, but the mount is sturdy and hasn't torn down my wall.

Cons: None that I could find.

Other Thoughts: So much cheaper than what you'll find in the store. This product is very good quality.

4 out of 5 eggsPanel is out away from the wall too far

Pros: inexpensive for what it is, an equivalent mount at the local hi fi store is $600

This puppy comes out and away from the wall and can turn the whole panel left or right - even past 90 degrees if the size of the panel doesnt make the side bump in to the wall.

Cons: sticks out from the wall too far in fully retracted position - 5 or 6" minimum.

Other Thoughts: ultimately, I returned it and got a low pro mount instead... 20% restock fee and ~ $20 to ship it back via USPS...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat after 3 years.

Pros: Sturdy. I was surprised. Buy it.

Cons: When you loosen the joints it seems a little too loose before it will turn smoothly. Tough to turn and still feel secure.

1 out of 5 eggsharlandhodges

Pros: Seems like a well built product; however, see cons

Cons: Broken on arrival. A knob had been twisted off and fell out of the package when it was opened. Very frustrating since it cost me $50 to return a defective product.
