Rosewill 2 Amp 4 Port USB Wall Charger RUC-6180 for iPhone/iPod/iPad/MP3

Pros: got this for a friend who has a Linux box that won't properly recognize his MP3 players so they won't charge so he needed a powered USB port that not a part of computer this filled the bill nicely.

Cons: none

Pros: 4 ports.

Cons: Everything else.

Will not charge one iPod (Touch 4) or iPhone (5), nevermind two simultaneously as the description states. The 2 amp port won't even charge one. Complete failure.

Pros: It came free with my power supply, works well. I intend to take it on all my trips.

Cons: None really, can't complain about free

Pros: 4 Ports

Cons: Low capacity, could not charge more than 1-2 phones at a time.
Cheap... the plastic on the main body broke where the plug connects to the main body (when unplugging) It cannot be 'fixed'

Pros: Charged ipad and nexus 10 at the same time.

Cons: Shorted out and blew my breaker. Had lots of burn marks etc. It's the replaceable plug that can fall apart easily that is the culprit. After replacing it with a safer cord it works well but with the stock plug its dangerous.

Other Thoughts: You can also take the plug off and use a power cord to not have it directly on the wall.

Pros: compact, versatile, economical

Cons: The plastic connecting tabs between the two-prong plug-in part and the main body of the charger look fragile (loss of one star). When unplugging this unit from a wall plug I grasp the sides of the plastic two-prong plug-in part instead of the main body of the charger. If you don't do this be sure to pull the unit straight out from the wall plug without twisting it. Leaving the unit plugged into a dedicated extension cord is another possibility if one doesn't mind the loss of compactness.

Other Thoughts: As noted in the specifications, the available current output per USB port decreases with the number of ports in use. The output switching is automatic. Some people who complain about inadequate output evidently haven't read the specifications on this web site or the user manual.

Pros: Net deal priced sucked me in like a crab.

Cons: not enough power output to run all 4 ports at same time.

Other Thoughts: This is why I don't like high prices on internet, so I can absorb some loses.

Pros: Worked while it worked.

Cons: This thing blew apart when I was plugging it in to charge my sons Kindle. Started to go through the RMA process and they want me to pay more for shipping than I originally paid for the charger.

Pros: Pretty blue light (if you were looking for a nightlight)
Four Ports with 2 amp max, if it worked (see cons)

Cons: Bright blue light
devices plugged in to charge often do not start charging. My Droid X2 usually charges up just fine from my PC USB port with only a 500ma supply...but when plugged into this device it usually doesn't start charging. If I unplug and replug it it will start one out of five times on average. plugging in my ASUS Transformer battery pack/keyboard which requires a 1200ma or better charger and it never starts charging, so the 2A max this is supposed to have is not happening.
trying to plug in two devices (my phone and my tablet) of course didn't work either, even though that is exactly what this device is supposed to be for!

Other Thoughts: look elsewhere for a four port charger.
