I'm concerned with how inexpensive this cable is, is it good quality and will it be able to last several years of constant use?

I've bought several of these cables don't let the inexpensive price fool you they've all worked great. I have no issues with the quality with the cables and had some of them a few years now.Besides they are so inexpensive it isn't costly to replace. These are a great buy if you're considering.

Does this cable support Audio Return?

HDMI (in nearly all cases) supports ARC by default. It is more dependent on the devices capabilities (often a feature supported by the TV itself).

If your television supports ARC, then you should be set.

Which version of cable is this?......1.3 or 1.4?

There's no such thing as a 1.3, 1.4 or even 2.0 cable. Cables are just standard or high speed and with or without ethernet. Version numbers are not to be used when labeling, packaging or promoting cables.

Will this cable work from DVD Player to TV?

Yes,one DVD has HDMI output. Not all have it. Most of DVDs have RCA outs but some HDMI. So , make sure that you have HDMI out. If it does, it will work perfectly. It will transmit not only the vision but also the sound, so you don't need to connect  any other cables for audio.

Hi all,  I am pretty computer saavy but I just don't seem to be able to connect what I have on my laptop to the HD TV?  What do Ineed to do, tried HD cables a year ago, but I couldn't get the Dell Inspiron to show p on my TV.  I do have HDMI ports on both laptop and TV.  Any hlp out there?  Thanks in advance!

Make sure you use the Function or Control F4 or F5.  You should see a icon that looks like a monitor.  This tells the computer that you are sharing the monitor with another monitor, your TV.  This opens a screen that allows you to choose the shared monitor or you can select the option that only the TV has the output.  GOOD LUCK.

Who knows?  I haven't had any reason to strip off the insulation and measure them.  I assume it's a standard adequate gauge for HDMI, since the cable works great.  I wouldn't use them as jumper cables, though...

Hello and Thanks for the question - Yes, this item will work with this ASUS VG248QE monitor, as the plug in on the bottom of the monitor is a standard sized HDMI plug.  But, if you have one of the newer style graphics cards, the other end might not fit - as most newer GPU's now have Mini and Micro HDMI connectors.  So make sure you notice the different connectors first, before you buy any style of HDMI cable - it will save you the headache.
