Pros: You could probably use it as a guide for an otherwise unlit path

Cons: Doesn't light up ANYTHING around it. Doesn't light up the flowers 6 inches from the light.

Pros: All I have is praise for these Rosewill Solar yard lights. I set them up and stuck them in the yard to provide guidance to anyone who drove up my drive to my house. They lit up nice and bright for a good long time.

Cons: The only possible "con" I can think of was that some of the tops needed to have the batteries inserted better and When I tried to do that the tops were difficult to remove from the rest of the light. It's a pretty minor "con" but it's worth mentioning.

Pros: - Sleek and good-looking lights. They don't look nearly as cheap as the price would indicate, or other garden lights that you find at big box stores for that matter.
- Hold a charge pretty well. They, on average in NE Ohio, shine for about 6 sold hours.
- The bulbs are pretty bright and offer an even shine. They have that LED bluish/white look to them and really have a good effect. In terms of lighting the area, you'd need a lot of them, but they are more decorative than functional.
- Even with mediocre sun, these things still illuminate well.
- They possess a good night/day indicator and shine when needed. A lot of these solar lamps even light up unnecessarily during the day, but these Rosewills are rather consistent.
- Easy to get in the ground and they stay up right.

Cons: - The build quality isn't astounding, but for the price it isn't bad. Sturdier and more durable materials would make it feel a lot less cheap.
- A little brighter and longer charge would be nice.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm very pleased with these solar lights. They are much better than any I've bought before in big-box stores. I recommend them.

Pros: Easy to put together self contained and worked right out of the box. Nice looking very inexpensive give off a good light and work all night long.

Cons: Not as bright as electric lighting but no wires to cut or trip over.

Other Thoughts: Came fast and they all worked great I did not have to send them back I bought 2 sets and don't regret it.

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to assemble, light lasts easily for 5-6 hours.

Cons: Very lightweight (I think they'll break in no time). No O-rings of any kind, so I think moisture will eventually find its way in. Very simplistic "twist left to screw" mechanism to attach the circuitry to the rest of the body (again, moisture will find its way in.) LEDs are bluish white (could be a bit yellower for this application, but this is more of a personal taste.)

Other Thoughts: These are very cheap. One of mine came broken (LED is always on, even during the day). Since I already installed the other five, I cannot return the fauly one (pay 6, get 5) :(

Pros: Easy to assemble, very bright when lit, good height. strong stake

Cons: none that I can see at present

Other Thoughts: Very simple and well made at initial observation. Stake goes on firmly and is a good height for this type light. Lights up really well initially. It will be interesting to see how well they hold up, but 12 units at this price is a great deal even if they only last a year or two.

Pros: None

Cons: These will fill up with water and cease functioning after several heavy rainstorms. We get plenty of them in south Florida!

Other Thoughts: I,m replaceing very expensive stainless steel, real glass, with these all plastic units.

I will miss the nice look of the stainless, but for the price

Pros: I've purchased several RSL-100 sets for use here in Syracuse, New York and we're not Sun City. If you intelligently place these lights to receive as much sun as possible, and during the late fall to winter period, angle them so the solar cells are facing south and not 90 degrees vertical, all of them are lit all night and all winter long, this after 18 months and two winters. Yes, they all remain lit, some dim or flickering after overcast days, but functioning.The LEDs spread a small cone of near-white light for about a 12-inch diameter and may gradually dim overnight. The RSL-101 appears to have a smaller solar cell surface and results may not be the same. None of mine have broken. These work better than any of my neighbor's higher priced options for solar lights. I've purchased numerous Rosewill items and always found them an excellent value and customer service queries answered and responded swiftly and positively.

Cons: None for the price sold, especially if purchased while on sale and free shipping with Newegg!

Other Thoughts: Lower milli-amp Ni-Cd cells used as they compliment the solar cell daily charging output. After 18 months, no Ni-CD replacements needed yet. Do NOT use Ni-MH!

Pros: - Cheap?...

Cons: - Breaks very easily
- Low capacity batteries
- Plastic
- Not very bright
- Even the ones that aren't breaking from miscellaneous reasons are dying by themselves.

Other Thoughts: You really get what you pay for. Mine broke one at a time from kids running over them, lawnmowers, a hurricane, and other events. But 5 of them broke and I glued one back with Gorilla Glue. I gave up on the rest, but they ALL break at the same location. It's not really made for the outdoors, it's just cheap plastic. I see deals about twice as much as this for 12 (which is basically the same price) and they are made of all metal. I wish I saw that before I bought this.
