5 out of 5 eggsGreat little outdoor solar light

Pros: Good amount of light for the price. Have lasted years. Work in winter and summer the same. Extreme sensitive motion detection is good and is adjustable. Great for outdoor sheds or anywhere a little light is needed

Cons: Noda. Wasted tons of money on solar lights at local hardware stores not one lasted over 2 years.

Many people complain that can't set the amount of time the light stays on. I have not had a problem with this. Light go off and within a second it comes back on. I don't see it as a problem at least considering the price
I should add I had a expensive solar light that was able to set time and I set it for a few minutes on but the battery did not last the night at this setting nor did the light last a year, so long $150. :-/ but I think that's why it's not adjustable on these

Other Thoughts: It's ok product. Construction A little on The cheep side. But I have 10 of these and the older one light model. They all have lasted years. They all have outlasted lights I purchased locally for 20 times the price with half the light.

Though you can't set the light duration time the motion detected is extremely sensitive , the light will be off for a second if you still near it. I have 2 at generator shed one out side and one in. There just what I needed. Also have on outside walkway and porch for when the dogs go out at night and working great. I in New York State with lots snow storms and they get direct sunlight in summer even lasted through the hurricanes. I spent thousand on solar lights at the local big name stores and all failed in a year or 2 at the most.

These from newegg still running years latter like new. I need more waiting for sale again.

1 out of 5 eggsGood for 3 days

Pros: Worked great for 3 days/nights.

Cons: Stopped working after 3 days. Will sometimes come on at night, but motion activation does not work. I hate to even put one egg, but there is no lesser choice.

Other Thoughts: This would be a great item, solving the need for light where there is no electricity...if it only worked! The 3 days it did work made me think I had found a solution, but I was mistaken. I have bought many items from Newegg, but am not happy with the quality of this one!!!

4 out of 5 eggsSolar lights

Pros: The motion sensor is quite sensitive, Pretty good rotation on the two heads to manouver them where you need the light the most.
accurate, fairly bright considering it runs off of rechargable AA batteries.
great for lighting up a walkway, shed or any other place without power.

Cons: Does not stay on long enough and no way to change the setting.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Experience

Pros: Good price, good quality, bright focused light, reliable

Cons: duration not adjustable, sensor limited adjustment, mounting hardware is not very good

Other Thoughts: I own several of the one light variety of these lights and am very satisfied overall. I am very disappointed with the mounting hardware. I don't know about the 2 light set, but the 1 light set if it is the same, is designed to mounting to a small square post. You have to be creative and use other hardware to mount this to a flat wall.

4 out of 5 eggsLight without 120V outlets

Pros: Long cable from solar cells to light. Not complex to install, even when standing on a ladder just as it is starting to snow in twilight. Produces light when there is motion and there is not light.

Cons: Light is not very intense and stays on for a short period of time (~30 seconds). System uses solar cell power to figure out whether it is dark or not, which is fine for outdoor applications, but I put one of the units inside a shed and of course it is always dark in there even if it is light outside. I had to install a light switch (upside down!!) so that I could turn "off" the solar cell when I wanted light (except I had to move as well). Critical to remember to turn in back on or it will not charge.

Other Thoughts: Solar cell is sensitive. There was a decent covering of snow on the cell and it didn't turn on (as I expected) when I moved past. I went back out at night and it did turn on.

1 out of 5 eggsNot for Cold Weather

Pros: Worked fine in the past during warm NY summers.

Cons: Motion sensor does not work in cold weather. Tried 3 in last month and all had to be returned.

Not sure if it's the cold or poor quality product. Then again, that's one and the same to me.

Other Thoughts: Play it safe and avoid

1 out of 5 eggsVery Unreliable

Pros: Love it when it works.

Cons: I've had 3 in the last month or two. Each worked great for a few days to a couple of weeks. After that, the motion sensor did not sense a person approaching ... period.
- The battery was fully charged.
- A flick of the on/off switch would light the unit for 30 sec
- Then it would go out (proper operation)
- After that, motion was not sensed again

I took replacements 2 or 3 times. Each time Newegg would make me pay for the replacement unit but would later credit me for the return. No more ... I gave up and requested a refund.

Other Thoughts: Save yourself much aggravation and do not buy this product

5 out of 5 eggsNice lights for the price

Pros: The price is great. It comes with better batteries (1300mh) than the little 5-dollar stake lights, as well as better emitters and a larger charging panel. Nice long cord for the panel, allowing a variety of placements. It seems to charge, or stay charged, with very low daylight; mine has come on after being under heavy snow for at least a day. It comes with a variety of clamps, brackets, and plates for a number of mounting options. I would estimate each light to have the approximate brightness of a 75 lumen LED flashlight.

Cons: The motion sensor's sensitivity is not adjustable. The time that the light stays on is not adjustable.

Other Thoughts: Some of the other reviews indicate poor quality control. I just purchased four more units, so I will update this review, if possible, after I've operated them all for a while.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks fine, but only in warm weather

Pros: Works great as long as the outdoor temperature is above about 60°F. The lights are very bright, the PIR detector works great and the battery stays fully charged even when surprisingly little light reaches the solar panel. Fairly easy to mount, although the lamps can't be adjusted downward as far as I'd like.

Cons: Doesn't work at all in the winter. The solar panel charges the battery and enables the light after dark just fine, but the PIR detector never turns it on. The same thing happens with all four units I bought, so it's a design flaw, not a random defect.

Maybe PIR sensors never work in cool or cold weather, but if so the manufacturer should tell consumers about it, specifying the operational temperature range or something like that.

Other Thoughts: I bought them primarily to light to way to and on my front porch for UPS and FedEx deliveries in winter when it gets dark around 4:00 pm, but since the PIR detector doesn't work in winter they're useless for that purpose.

2 out of 5 eggsRosewill Dual Head PIR

Pros: Nice bright white light when it works.

Cons: The motion senser does not always work. You'll need to turn the switch off then back on before it's working again but if you didn't use it a couple of days then it doesn't detect again!

Other Thoughts: Price is good but if you keep have to flip the switch all the time then it's poor design.
