4 out of 5 eggsEh. It's a mount.

Pros: * It's made of metal.
* The engineering is generally sound.
* Has thus far made no overt moves to kill me or steal my stuff.

Cons: * "Universal" kit contains only M4, M6 and M8 mounting screws
* Whoever wrote the instruction book has a deep-seated animosity toward the human race in general, and people assembling TV mounts in particular.

Other Thoughts: What can I say? It's a TV mount. I got it because it was on sale for $20. It didn't come with the screws I needed for my Spectre, though, so I knocked off an egg. I am very happy that the mount has yet to flash gang signs or attempt to take my life, though, so there IS that.

Word to the wise, though: Should you purchase this mount, ignore the instruction manual if it tells you to attach the tilt adjustment bar before you attach the mount brackets to the TV. Trust me on this one. It's a lot less of a hassle, especially if you're one-manning the job (which you will most likely be doing). Attach the mount brackets, THEN add the tilt bar.

Also, if you are going to actually use the tilt bar, make sure to brace the top of the TV before you do so. Otherwise, the TV will fall foward roughly as the tilt mechanism appears to lack pneumatics or something similar to control the forward motion of the screen as it's tilting.

Pros: The tilt control lock is better than the one on my 70'' wall mount which was more expensive. the price was way cheep but the quality wasn't that bad.

Cons: My studs are 20'' this unit only goes to 16'' took an egg off.

1 out of 5 eggs$20 Out THe Window

Pros: None that I can think of.

Cons: Order because of the $10 off coupon, so for $19.99 I thought this was a steal! Not! The mounts for the TV are too short and will not work on my 37 inch screen. Plus, out of all the screws that came in the box to use for mounting the bracket on the TV, not a single one was the right size.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic TV Mount

Pros: Great mount, has all included hardware to fit most any installation scenario. Used it to mount a 32" TV that I use for a computer monitor to the wall over my desk to clear up desk space that the base was using. TV didn't have a flat back, but mount had additional spacers and longer screws that worked perfectly to mount the TV with no problems.

Cons: If I had to find any con it would be the instruction booklet. I found it to be pretty concise, but the size of the print and illustrations were just way to small for most any average person to see clearly.

Other Thoughts: I was considering a mount that Wally World had that was very similar, but it was priced at $69.95. I picked this up for $29.95 and got an additional $7.50 through a NewEgg promotion with free shipping. Also, it was at my door in very short order. Very satisfied with the mount.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV Wall Mount

Pros: Cheap but still great quality
The Tilt works pretty nicely
It has a locking bar for padlocking the TV to the mount (It totally slipped our mind when we first bought the wall mounts for outdoor use. Very nice touch to have that locking bar.)
It comes with a tiny level. Sure, most people probably have one, but it's a nice touch considering the price of this mount.

Cons: The only con I could say is that the instruction book needs some pictures. I had trouble trying to open the brackets for the back of the TV because the instruction manual said to open the tilt adjustment knob to get the bracket to swing open. I had no idea where this was until I fiddled with the bracket and found out how it came apart.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you place the knobs on the tilt in the right way. On one of the mounts, I had put the knobs on the wrong side and it hit the wall. Then I had to unmounts the TV and switch out the knobs.

We bought three of these for three 42" inch TVs. They work really well. Two mounts are outdoor (Lag bolted to Unit Strap) and one is indoor (Lag Bolted to studs inside the wall). It's very durable once it's mounted up.

4 out of 5 eggsFlush Mount!!

Pros: Holds up great I like it.

Cons: If you us this one for the maximum size 55" don't expect to be able to adjust the tilt once it is on the wall. Or connect any cables unless the connections are on the side of the TV.

Other Thoughts: I bought this thing discounted so I knew there would be a reason as to why. The wall frame and the mount on the TV was a snap to connect it was when I put the two parts together that I realized the flaw. there is literally two inches between the wall and the TV an the tilt bar is 1 1/2 feet from the edge of the TV making impossible to grab. My 10 year old could not even reach it. same with the connections on the TV they are in the middle on the back. So I took it back off and connected everything up and then the tilt locking is dependent on weight to lock it in place I had to put a sock between the tilt bar to keep it from locking to allow me to tilt it then remove the sock. Other then that it works great as long as I don't have to touch it or add anything to it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Cons: None at the moment.

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried the max TV size, but hopefully I will eventually and see if it holds up.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid construction, secure

Pros: Thick, solid metal
A wealth of various screws/bolts/etc that ensure compatibility with all televisions/etc that support VESA 400x400.

Security bar to prevent theft (good luck ripping this off the wall, it's SOLID. My brother and I tried simultaneously just to test it out and it's not going anywhere unless I want it to).

Cons: Could be false advertisement, but the manual says the mount only supports 26-46", not 55" the title advertises. Despite this, it handles my 47" just fine.

Only 15 degree tilt, but I knew what I was buying when I bought it.

Not a con for this product, but the studs in the wall I chose to place this mount on were not to spec (beams not 18 inches apart and they were recessed well behind the drywall), so I had to cut the drywall out in the section and drill to connect the beams with two 2x4s with 4" 300 pound screws to mount the television on. Can't dock this product because of grandfathered zoning laws on this old house.

Other Thoughts: Instructions were clear, have tons of extra screws/spacers/etc. for other projects.
My 47" TV holds firm (~40 pounds) despite the instructions stating this mount is 46" max. If you're not looking for a full swivel mount, this is the way to go.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very versatile and adjustable in placement and position. Can handle a large selection of TV's. Fairly study and built. Decent product for the money.

Cons: Cumbersome, due to the number of mounting positions. This can make it visible when the TV is mounted. Not the most intuitive or simple design.

Other Thoughts: I am very pleased with the integrated safety bar that prevents theft of the TV unless tearing the entire unit from the wall. Apartment was broken into, and the criminal had made an attempt to take the TV. The fact that the mount worked and the TV wasn't taken prompted this product review.
