Only 720P?
- Pros: Sony name? Price?
- Cons: No 1080P upconversion
- Other Thoughts: Why buy this player when most BR players can upconvert your old DVD's to full 1080P HD and this Sony only goes to a ho hum 720P!
Isn't the point of a BR player to be able to upconvert your old DVD's to full HD?

Better then dealing with the Black Friday Crowd
- Pros: I had my first Blu-Ray movie on (Star Trek) within 30 mins of opening the box, and most of that time was spent getting the old DVD player out of the way and doing a little wire management behind my receiver. The set-up on the Blu-Ray was pretty simple. Pic and sound (suggest you use the Optical Cable to your receiver, I mean come-on your using HDMI for the picture!) were awesome. Blu-Ray give you a far better picture than DVD and honestly, even better than the movie quality in the theatre.

- Pros: This blue-ray player is very good. I bought another sony cd player which was very good, but this blueray player is really nice, and gives a very clear picture.
