5 out of 5 eggsMovie Hobbier

Pros: Easy hook up for what I am using. And looks great on my new 32" Brevia . Sharp contras and makes me feel I am in a real theater. And love this cause I collect all kinds of dvd's . And would buy another one to go along with this one to expand my view library.

Cons: You have to be patient on loaded the player due to amount it holds. And Don't tell you what will happen if you don't hook up the internet cable as to make your searching for a movie more pleasurable. With the cable it downloads the movie cover. And with out the cable all you get is nothing bu unknown disc. So if you have internet it would be best to hook it up when loading the dvd's in the player.

Other Thoughts: Have to find a cabinet or stand to accommodate the player for the size that it is.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of JUNK

Pros: It plays Blu-Ray disks

Cons: Where do I start. I own Sony's 400 DVD player and do like it. Just can't believe it took Sony three years to finally deliver a 400 BR player. Takes 30-60 seconds to start up, and then it only goes to the "home" menu. It does not auto-resume from previous stopped position like DVD players do. Most disks make you go through the branding info, copyright crud, fbi warning and interpol even if you were half way through the movie. Has to be connected to the internet. For BD-Live info you have to have a USB stick connected, (why they just couldn't add a few Gigs of memory to the system themselfs is beyond me). 400DVD you can connect a keyboard to edit disk info, this one you can't, so you have to use the anemic remote interface to edit disk info. If they had used T9 for input would have been better.

Other Thoughts: BLu-Ray is worse then DVD and DVD is worse then VCR. With VCR, you pop in tape, press fast forward and in 30-45 seconds you are watching a movie by passing previews.

DVDs require a 15-30 second warmup and determine the type of disk. Then the branding info, fbi warning, interpol warning and previews which you CAN'T fast forward through. Then you some programmer writing cutsie menus that take forever to weed through before you can actually watch the movie. All this generally takes 3-7 minutes before you are watching the movie.

Blu-ray, the same as DVD but double and triple the time it takes to actually get to the movie. Also, what is advertised as a feature for Blu-ray is not on 90% of the disks. Just why do I have a 7.1 audio system when 90% of the disks are only in 5.1?

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Looks good, easy setup. Self loading dvd and cd info.

Cons: Not really a con. Takes time to load.

Other Thoughts: If you count the amount of time to get up, go to the dvds, choose, open, load, watch, unload, put in cover, and put it back with the other dvds, I guess it really that slow.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Player

Pros: Was looking for a player that would eliminate all the DVD cases on the book shelf and it did just that, plays Blu-Rays as well. Works great and we plan on having this player for a long time.

Cons: Runs a little slower because of the changer but once disk is in place it's pretty quick compared to other Blu-Ray players I've used.

Other Thoughts: Interface works great and all the information for titles is downloaded through internet jack. Only a few of the disks would not sync info.
