Pros: Great sound for the price I paid when the shell shocker deal was on. I have these hooked up to my desktop PC through an old Kenwood receiver I pulled out of the closet. Excellent upgrade on my 8 year old Cambridge Soundworks 2.1 PC speaker system.
Cons: Can't really complain considering the price range.
Other Thoughts: Its a speaker - use speaker cables. Some of the other reviews are quite baffling.

Pros: Once they have had a bit of time to burn in (10-20 hours), these have excellent range for the size of their drivers. They can hit fairly low notes (kick drums, bass guitars, explosions, etc.) but don't sacrafice on the mids or highs either. I've used them exclusively for music so far, and they have done wonderfully. I've thrown classical, rock, alternative, jazz, rap, and hip-hop at them.
Cons: None so far, make sure to let them burn in for a little while before making a judgement. Out of the box they have a difficult time hitting low notes due to their small driver size, but after letting them play at moderate volumes for a while, they settle in very nicely.
Other Thoughts: These are worth the money when they are on sale for $70 shipped, but wouldn't spend the $200 price tag on them. For $200, you can get a decent set of full size floor standing speakers that will have an even better frequency range than these...
I burnt my speakers in using a 50/50 combination of classical music and white noise for about 10-20 hours.

Pros: Good sound and surround imaging when I hang them on my drywall and set the reciever crossover freq to 80 hz. I bought two sets of these and use as front and rear speakers with the matching Yamaha center channel speaker and a Sony sub-woofer. Nice looking speakers with real wood.
Cons: Don't sound as good when sitting on a bookshelf.
Other Thoughts: If you wait for these to go on sale you can get two sets and the center channel speaker for about $220.

Pros: Great deal if you catch these on a Shell Shocker or E-Blast. Decent mids / highs. Reasonable volume for 2.5" cones. They're not broken in yet, so maybe they'll sound even better?
Cons: 6 ohms impedance won't make some receivers happy. Check your specs first. These are essentially unresponsive below 100hz. They're meant to be used with a sub. If you don't have one and you want some low bass, these won't make you smile.
Other Thoughts: I use these as computer speakers. I have a polk CS1 hiding behind the monitor to fill in some bottom end. They sound much better than the JBL Duet computer speakers they replaced, (but have very little bottom end on their own).
MSRP $200 is a joke. Newegg's normal $100 for the pair is a reasonable offer. Wait for the sale, and you've got your self a deal.
