The 5" driver reproduces sound over the frequency spectrum surprisingly and deceptively well. I produce tracks in NYC and I use these in my home studio to reference mixes (plus a subwoofer just to add the fun bass). But I have to say that I can get an accurate mix with them. Cons: They aren't 8" woofers. The low to high mids don't crack the way you need them to for snare drum mixing. You definitely need to decide if you do need 8" speakers. Other Thoughts: These aren't fun booming bass listening speakers, they are accurate professional reference monitors.
