very nice Sound Great Value
- Pros: Once you get everything up correct they sound Great!

Pretty good, but not audiophile

I cranked them up to a moderately loud volume and they didn't flinch. I wouldn't want to sustain the volume level they put out, so I was pleased greatly.
I tried out the sub on a different system with some small JBL bookshelf speakers using the speaker input/output method of hookup, and I was quite pleased with that as well. It sounds much larger than it is, and it reproduces deep and acurate bass for it's small size. It doesn't have a removable grill though, so I can't look at the speaker itself to attest to its quality. It took some time to get the crossover and volume settings just right, but when I did, it sounds like a much larger system than it is.
- Cons: Designed for small rooms, and only 5.1
- Other Thoughts: I got these free with the Yamaha receiver, and I couldn't be more pleased with them. I'm using the satellites as the surround speakers only, and the center channel speaker. The sub is not needed because I have a Cerwin Vega powered sub. I have some classic Allison Acoustics model Six bookshelf speakers as my front speakers, and the satellites compliment the system perfectly to create a full 7.1 sound. I couldn't imagine paying the full asking price for them though, so I suggest waiting until they are on special.
Not too bad but...
- Pros: I got these free with the purchase of the Yamaha V-665. Prior to this purchase I bought Polk Audio's Rm6750 set for 200. So I really didnt need this set. Im using two of the sattelites as back surround to complete the 7.2 setup and they do ok for it.
- Cons: As expected, the 300 dollar price is for marketing purposes. Likely the price will drop sharply once it's no longer offered for free with the recievers. When I upgrade my front L/R's I will replace these two Yamaha back surrounds with the polks. The polks sound much much better. I tested out the sub in this set and as expected it was kinda funny. So far the rest of the set has been good cutter :(
- Other Thoughts: I use the V-665, Polk RM6750's with the sub, the Yamaha SW315 10" Subwoofer, and two sattelites from this set. Will probly just upgrade front mains to the NS-777 or equivalent floor standing speakers.
