YAMAHA HTR-3064BL 5.1-Channel AV Receiver

Pros: The audio return feature is too cool!!With one click on my Direct tv remote the box comes on,then the receiver,then the tv,it all happens in about 5 seconds.Then you have sound and picture.Only need one cable to the tv and your dvd player,sat box anything with an HDMI comes right threw no more switching inputs.

Cons: Having a problem keeping my Yamaha Sub to stay on,the trouble shooter section says they (SUBS) must support LFE.So I have a new Sub on the way,I was do for an update,I hope this clears this up,besides that its really nice sounding.

Pros: the same unit you find on the shelf at the big box stores... for half the price!

Cons: did not fit in my IK*A Hemnes TV stand, had to remove a draw and construct a shelf for it from scrap.

Other Thoughts: Just bought my first home and it came with 5 speakers mounted in the living room wall and ceiling. I am not a home theater fanatic but it would be foolish not to take advantage of this set up. the sound is impressive and based on my research this is the same model as the RX-V373. The HTR series is sold in chain stores and the RX line is for electronics and specialty retailers.

Pros: - Audio return channel to tv via hdmi
- Component video output
- RCA L/R Output
- Low profile; under 6"H & 12.5"D
- Great performance for the price

Cons: -some quirky behavior interfacing with my pc via hdmi

no YPAO microphone analyzer but I like to tweak my setting constantly based on the source, so not really a con for me

Other Thoughts: Sound quality is what you would expect from a solid entry level receiver. Drives a set of Energy RC Micros quite well for a nice bedroom setup.

Came "like new"; Would have thought it was a brand new receiver if not for the B-Stock sticker on the box

Seems to be identical to the RX-V367.

Solid budget receiver, good sound quality, and good feature set.

Loses connection with my pc when switching between sources. I have to reset the pc or the receiver to get the sound to work again. Not sure if this is the receivers fault and haven't found a solution
