4 out of 5 eggsIt's ok

Pros: It's a Pioneer.

Cons: A little high on the price for what it is. 49.99 would be an exceptable price.

Other Thoughts: Received this unit today. hooked it up no problem, turned it on and the DVD drive would not open. Being the type of person that I am I decided to open it up and figure out what was wrong. Once I fixed the problem and put it all back together the unit functions as expected. I hate RMA'ing so i'm glad I didn't have to. Over all seems to be an ok unit. Let's hope it stays that way.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product, good deal.

Pros: I bought this and the Pioneer HTP-2920 High Power 5.1 Surround Sound System46358790 at the same time. Great deals on both products. Remote for the sound works for the DVD player too. Good standard DVD with PC plug ins.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Again, great shipping from Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsVery cool

Pros: Very nice unit, easy set-up. Can use my Pioneer receiver remote to run both units. Love the USB plug. Remembers every dvd I throw at it, despite my short attention span and chronic switching out of discs. Nice looking black cabinet, metal body, feels like quality.

Cons: None so far, works great, lots of functions, but not too many buttons. Off to watch more movies....

5 out of 5 eggsI like it!

Pros: Seems to work to my liking and that's all I care.

A plus is a remote that is big enough to see the buttons.

Price is another plus.

5 out of 5 eggsReview

Pros: I am currently looking to purchase a dvd player such as this, and wanted to help other buyers. The review posted before this one gave this product 1 egg because it did not have HDMI. HDMI would only be a convenience for this DVD player. There is no loss of quality when using Component video cables with this player, as with all DVD players that play normal DVDs. HDMI is used to output video and audio with 1 cable. HDMI allows high resolution video to be transmitted to an HDTV or HD capable monitor. This DVD player does not support such high resolution video, so there is no actual "need" for HDMI.

Cons: No Cons

Other Thoughts: Hope this review helps someone!
