Pros: So when you put items on a jump drive and play them on this, does it still play them according to the date the copy finished onto the jump drive, or does it play them as it should play them, in the alphabetical order of the list?
The last time I used one of these (can't remember if it was a K model or not) that is how it played them and I thought that was lame. If you dragged 5 avi's to the jump drive, whatever ones finished copying first were the ones to play first on the unit. Instead of in a sensible ordered fashion according to name as you'd expect. Even naming them 01-, 02, etc did nothing.
Anyone?
Cons: I am seriously considering buying this but I need an answer to that question. I liked the unit itself when I had it before but I'd love to hear that they fixed that lame play order issue.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: -Video quality -Audio quality -Resume feature (I've tried it with 3 different DVD's and it works ^_^) -DVD readability
Cons: Yeah right!
Other Thoughts: I haven't tested the HDMI quality, although the component is spectacular, and I haven't tested the USB capability. Other than that, this DVD player is GREAT. If I had the money, I'd get it as a gift for other family members. The remote is also every simple to use and the zoom feature is great if you ever need to use it.

Pros: Plays DiVX encoded AVI files from my 1TB Seagate LP drive in an external USB enclosure! (See limitations below) This is the second Pioneer model I've purchased and my favorite has been Pioneer with Phillips my second favorite.
Cons: Crops file names to a couple dozen characters or so on my DiVX AVI files. It's an annoyance but nothing more. It took a while to figure out how to put hundreds of movies on a single drive in a way that the palyer doesn't choke on.
Other Thoughts: On previous models there's some restrictions and I suspect this one is similar. Make sure the drive is formatted FAT32, don't make folders more than two levels deep, and keep the absolute number of folders anywhere on the drive under 100 or so and it'll work just fine. Format NTFS or make subfolders too deep or have too many folders on the drive and it will get stuck.
