Pioneer’s debut on the 3D Blu-ray market, the BDP-430 combines 3D playback with advanced networking features, superior audio performance, and control with iPod/iPhone. Connect it to a 3D compatible receiver and display to enjoy an amazing 3D experience thanks to cinema-like 24 fps playback in 1080p full high-definition.
In addition, the BDP-430 converts DVD video to near HD-quality. From CD, USB and through LAN you can play popular compressed media formats such as MP3 and DivX HD.
Pros: Seems to load fast for a blu-ray. using HDMI, picture is great. streaming from Netflix is nice to have (one issue below). I love being able to load updated firmware from the network.
Cons: lots and lots of buttons on the remote. can't seem to load Ironman 2 from Netflix, stops loading about 75% and then locks up the player sometimes no problems with any others so far. I wanted it to get the network address automatically but it doesn't seem to want to, I just switched it back a forth between auto and manual and it finely loaded in the address, had to leave it on manual to keep the address.
Other Thoughts: I'm very happy with this player, it doesn't have as many apps but it has what I need. my other big name blu-ray has a problem with the next chapter button not working on some blu-rays and dvds, so far this one does not have that problem.
