Pros: 6 HDMI ports for not a lot of cash, the respected name of Onkyo and audyssey, which I really thought was going to be a gimmick, is simply amazing and actually works.
Cons: I feel like I should put "it runs hot" here since everybody else did but it runs no hotter than the Denon I replaced it with. Don't most receivers run hot?
Remote is a little odd but I use a Harmony.
I can't figure out a way to rename the input names on the front of the receiver (ie. Instead of saying DVD I want it to say Xbox 360, or whatever).
Other Thoughts: Works great with a HD DVR, PS3, Xbox 360, HTPC all using HDMI with ports left over.

Excellent for Home Theater

Pros: Very easy setup, lots of HDMI inputs (5 rear, 1 front), configurable inputs with input upscaling to 1080p. All the things you'd expect from Onkyo. An under-advertised feature of this model (and several of their others) is the ability to consolidate output from component/composite inputs on the HDMI out.
Free Polk Audio bookshelf speakers with the order.
Cons: Harmony software was a little confused as to the button scheme, so configuring the activities on the remote was a little troublesome, but manageable.
Other Thoughts: Extremely happy with the performance of this unit, the Audyssey configuration makes a 3-point sound sample for EQ configuration a breeze. Have never had a unit that was as easy to configure and performed this well.

Pros: Crisp sound, easy to setup and calibrate. I love the Zone 2 setup for my Patio speakers, since I used to use a speaker switch from Radio Shack. Quality seems to be top notch and the Menu Options are simple and detailed. I was worried about Low Wattage output but it's not an issue at all.
Cons: Analog signal only (2 channel) for Zone 2. I think with so many HDMI Inputs, they should include 1 "Pass-Through" HDMI, as it could be a convenient option for certain setups.
Other Thoughts: NewEgg delivered to my home in 2 days and had great communication. Great company.

Good bang for your buck

Pros: HDMI upconversion is amazing, only 1 cable going across the room to the TV instead of 3. Easy setup with the audessy & included mic. Tons of inputs, speaker outputs, can have 2 different rooms wired up, 2 subs, plenty of power.
Cons: setup / menus arent all that friendly if you dont have much expereince with home stereos
Other Thoughts: Does so much for the cost, this will last me for years, Onkyo receivers just seem to be a step ahead of the competition

Cons: This bonus item is kinda useless if you have your own cables already -- Cables UnlimitedTM Clean & Connect kit for HDTVs includes 6 MicroFiber cloths & 2 Ultrafast 10.2Gbps v1.3B HDMI cables
Other Thoughts: Hopefully NewEgg will offer the IPod interface again. What will be the total cost to repair if the front auxilary port is DOA. Shipping?
