Great home theater starts with a great receiver. Onkyo's HT-R370 is the heart of the HT-S3200 system. This 5.1 channel receiver comes with Dolby Digital and DTS decoding for audio that sounds like what the producers had in mind. The Audyssey DynamicEQ dynamically adjusts the EQ settings as the volume is changed so dialogue will always be clear
You can even integrate an iPod or MP3 player via a front-panel input, or take advantage of Onkyo’s new DSP modes for gaming: Rock, Sports, Action, or Role Playing Game (RPG). As an entry-level home theater system, the HT-S3200 gives you an incredible listening experience.
Onkyo included speakers with this system that are tuned to work with the receiver. The front and center speakers have a 3.25" woofers and a 0.75" ceramic tweeter while the surround speakers have 1x3.25” woofer. The 8", 110W downward firing subwoofer completes the set. All the connectors and included cables are color coded to make things easier to connect. Get the sound you dreamed of from Onkyo!
Pros: I really like the HT-S3200 Home Theater, it is my first home theater system and it really does everything that I needed. It has 3 HDMI In, Composite, Component, and S-Video. It can take any Video input that you have! It also has 3 Digital Audio Inputs that can be assigned to any of the many video inputs. Speakers sound crisp and clear and the max volume is more that I will ever use, even though the power of 660 Watts is a lower number than many others.
I gave this 5 eggs because it can handle any input format (including HDMI) and it sounded better than anything that I listened to in an all-in-one receiver/speaker home theater in a box.
Cons: The receiver is a little bit larger than I had hoped. It has no fans (pro because it is quite) but it did get warm inside my TV stand (con). Had to drill lots of air holes in the back of the stand to let the hot air out and keep it cool.
Also when you turn it on or off it makes a really loud clicking noise of a relay closing or opening.
For some reason, the Center Speaker is rounded on the bottom side, and does not have a flat surface. With the volume all of the way up, and the floor shaking, and the speaker began to rock forward and back. Rubber stickers for feet are included, and once I put them on the speaker did not move.
Other Thoughts: All of the video inputs are pass through, so if you connect HDMI in, you will only get HDMI out, if you connect Component in, you will get component out, there is no format conversion. You cannot connect only 1 Video Out from the receiver to the TV, you must connect wires in and out for each format that you use. My DVD player is HDMI, and my cable tuner is component, so I need 2 HDMI cables (in and out) and 2 component cable sets (in and out). To switch to DVD I have to change the HT-S3200 from Cable to DVD AND I have to change the TV from Component to HDMI. This is not a Con because I did not find any other high end receivers that do Format Switching, most will not.

Pros: Sounds amazing, powerful, deep lows, great highs. Tons of options and modes.
Cons: "Pass-through HDMI" is worthless. What's the point of running HDMI through the receiver if it doesn't grab the audio? Insanely pointless.

Pros: Great sound. Not just for the money, but great sound, period. I am amazed at how good they sound considering their size and price. If you need big sound on a small budget, this is it.
Cons: Wires for surround speakers are too short.
Other Thoughts: Everything blends together well. Speakers are clear. Sub is not overpowering. The 5.1 really surrounds you with sound. System is balanced.

Pros: The connections. This thing has a a plug for almost everything, barring S-Video...but who uses that anymore? The bass is clear and the rest of the sound is superb. I don't regret my purchase.
Cons: As other reviewrs have mentioned, it does not take audio from the HDMI cable.
Other Thoughts: I agree that the HDMI not taking audio does make things a bit more tedious, but when you switch from one HDMI connection to another it also switches to the appropriate Digital Audio port. Assuming you have everything plugged in right.

Good 5.1 System for the price

Pros: HDMI pass through is cool so you only need one video cord hooked up to your viewing device. Wasnt what I wanted it for but it sounds good, the wires work and has lots of settings. It'l get the job done until I move it to my bedroom and replace the living room with the HT-7200 which makes use of the ability HDMI cords have of taking transfering both video and sound.
Cons: Pass-through HDMI" only transfers video to the output device when it should also be taking sound from the HDMI input becasue it is essentially a SOUND SYSTEM. Was very dissappointed when all I was getting only video from my PS3 but you can get Optical or A/V cords for sound, so that was a save. Luckily, its not the HD system I was planning on putting in the living room. The HT-7200 looks best especially if you want the full HDMI experience.
Other Thoughts: Wish the speaker cables were longer but easily fixed with a couple of the $5 75ft cables at wal-mart.
