The one supplied by the cable company was much beefier, heavier, and more solid. I have had trouble with TV but not internet ever since I first replaced it and then after I switched the two cables that split off to the cable box and the modem, I got internet problems. I put the original splitter back and have had no problems. Gold connectors don't mean much if the inside is bad. Perhaps this is not made for the purpose I am using it. Pros: Shiney.
