No it is not! This was the main reason I rodered this particular item was that the power adapter was included!

Now I have to locate one. NewEgg is seriously my go to place for parts and supplies, but they really need to hold their suppliers to a higher standard.

Pros: it works

Cons: its a cd player

Other Thoughts: my kid has one for what reason i dont know but its funny they still make them think the one i had a differ type in in the bottom of a box some where right next to my tape playing walk man and them great 80s mixed tapes

Pros: unit is priced well for features

Cons: unit failed shortly outside the 30-day window for return and would no longer play discs.

For replacement after the 30-day period COBY wants the consumer to fund shipping both ways indicating replacement would take 4-8 weeks for the months of Nov-Feb. Coby customer support estimated shipping costs around $30 ($15 each way) which exceeds the price of a replacement unit.

Other Thoughts: I would say unless you are looking for a temporary unit, I would look at other models or brands

Cons: Failed in a couple of weeks--adds high-pitched tones to output.

Other Thoughts: I bought a couple and gave one to my brother to use with an FM transmitter in his car. It failed after a couple of weeks use on long trips. Most disappointing, since the combo was attached to some audiobooks I gave him for Christmas.

Pros: Cost, plays MP3 cds

Cons: Died at 1 months use. Will not read any disc. Does not even spin the disc to attempt to read. Coby Electronics customer service

Other Thoughts: I'm not one for bashing on somebody in a negative feedback, but Coby is by far the worst I have ever had to deal with. For a week now I have been trying to call their 800 number to get support for my discman. I get put in queue and once a minute a recording comes on to tell me my status in line and wait time. I'm 12th... 10th... 8th... 5th... 2nd... then I get a new recording "We're sorry. All customer service reps are busy assisting other callers. Please hang up and try again later" and then my call drops! No kidding they're helping others, but isn't that the purpose of the queue?!?! This almost seems like it is a pre-planned process to drop calls because each time I call I get the same status in line messages. All I want is my product replaced under their 90 day warranty! AVOID COBY AT ALL COST!!
