- Pros: Fantastic dvd player! I got it to watch anime on and it has been working flawlessly. The two headphone jacks are very convenient.
You can also easily hook it up to your tv so you can watch things straight from a flash drive on a bigger screen.
- Cons: If the video you're watching isn't widescreen, it resets your settings every time you turn it off, but you only have to press 2-3 buttons to get it back again. Not much of a hassle.
- Other Thoughts: I'd definitely recommend this dvd player to anyone who doesn't always want to burn dvds just to watch something! The menus are easy to navigate and intuitive
Your Kid Wants This
- Pros: Cheap. Plays divx from usb/sd. Lots of accessories in the box.
- Cons: Playback of video doesn't change aspect ratio.
- Other Thoughts: This is the one you want to buy for your kid. For 100 bucks it does nearly everything you want and if the kid breaks it, oh well, pickup another. Load up a USB thumbdrive with DVD rips and this will provide 2-4 hours of entertainment on a fresh charge. Remote works surprisingly well from front seat to back. Don't get hung up a brand names or higher quality players, your kid doesn't care!

Great Little Player
- Pros: Bought this for traveling with my 3yo son. He now calls it his "computer". Great battery life. Easy to use. Plays every format we need and way portable.
- Cons: none
Read the instruction manual, people!
- Pros: it wont recognize a 16GB drive, this isnt a computer.
Format your drive to FAT32 and you can hold the most you'll be able to and have this player (or ANY non-computer USB input) see.
- Cons: Could be a little cheaper for the price, but nothing else has these features that isnt a computer or over $300
- Other Thoughts: Stop saying this is bad if you dont know how electronics work. This isnt a computer, theres no way it can see a lot of data on a 16GB drive in NTFS!
Did not work with my 16GB USB drive
- Pros: The unit has alot of features for the money. USB and SD card slots, and will play MP3, as well Divx and JPEGs.
- Cons: The buttons have a cheap fill to them and I would not be suprised if it stopped working if you use it alot after a few months. I have only had it one day but I already have noticed that sometimes I have to push the buttons twice to get it to register.
The main reason I bought this unit was because it had a USB flash drive input so I planned to put a bunch of Divx movies on a 16gb flash drive for my son, so he could watch them on the airplane, etc. without having to bring a bunch of DVD's. The problem is that the unit did not recognize a Cruzer 16GB flash drive. However, it does recognize a Memorex 1GB flash drive that I have. I tried reformatting, etc. but the Coby will not recognize the 16gb USB drive (It is FAT32). I read on here that one person was able to use a 16gb USB drive. Maybe it's a different brand, I don't know. I have read that this sometimes this occurs with these type of units. So it's very frustrating that I can't use it for the purpose I intended for it.
- Other Thoughts: Seems like a nice unit for the price. However, I wish I could get it to work with my 16GB USB drive. Maybe it will work with another brand of USB drive, but how am I supposed to find out? There is no support at all to find out. If I knew what brand would work, I would buy it.
