5 out of 5 eggsMONSTER QUICK LOCK BANANA JACKS

Pros: QUICK SETUP, SIMPLE TO USE, GREAT CONNECTION. CHANGED 14 SPEAKER WIRES 16 GAGE IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. IT TOOK ME 45 MINUTES WITHOUT THE BANANA PLUGS.

Cons: NO CONS, ITS SO WORTH IT.

Other Thoughts: GREAT FOR SURROUND SOUND RECEIVERS, I HAVE A YAMAHA ADV. 3000 7.2, THATS 14 SPEAKER WIRES. IT'S VERY TIGHT WORKING COND. AND THIS WAS A PIECE OF CAKE. 1ST TIME I USED BANANA JACKS AND I'LL NEVER GO WITHOUT THEM AGAIN.

4 out of 5 eggsGood product

Pros: These connectors are the best I've seen. They work great with heavy-gauge speaker wire.

Cons: These little guys are ridiculously expensive, otherwise I would have awarded a 5. Everyone knows that everthing with the Monster label is extremely expensive.

4 out of 5 eggsGood--but not for the price

Pros: They are easy to attach to cables. They fit a wide variety of cable and hold tight. Attach them properly (unscrew the black bit from the gold tips, insert the wire, and bend some of the exposed wire over the 'teeth' before screwing it back in).

Cons: Overpriced. Sticking "Monster" on these quadrupled the price (at least).

Other Thoughts: I have a few sets of these in generic form. Except for the brand, they're the same exact thing.

5 out of 5 eggsIn reply to rnickel...

Pros: Keeps speaker wire held in place excellently, provided you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Cons: With four in a pack, you have a set left over if you're doing 5.1 or 7.1 systems.

Other Thoughts: The instructions on the back of the package clearly state the bottom black park unscrews from the top gold part. There's teeth inside the old connector, and when you attach the speaker wire correctly it holds wonderfully.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Banana Connectors

Pros: These connectors work perfectly with heavy gauge speaker wire, the contact area of the speaker wire to the connector is excellent. This is the next best thing to soldering the wire to a connector without the hassle of soldering. I am using these with 10 gauge speaker wire and I could not be happier.

Cons: I would not recommend these for use with a low gauge speaker wire, the connection may not tight, but with 10 gauge wire the connection is perfect.

1 out of 5 eggswont stay on

Pros: They look good

Cons: They dont keep the cable inside like other Monster Banana Connectors I have. Its smooth inside and doesnt hold the cable in place, just lightly touching it drops the cable out. I use the Monster Flat cable and my older monster connectors work fine cause they have threading on the inside.
