KEF KHT1005.2SE Home Audio Speaker System w/ White Satellite Speakers

Pros: Produce really good sound, filling my room at -25 dB. If I crank these up all the way, the floor above me shakes and my neighbor gets mad.

Clear, adjustable bass.

Mountable via a bottom panel that comes off. Very small, yet have solid, sturdy feel. Look great and are easy to pose.

Cons: Would have been nice if the center speaker was horizontally oriented. Kind of awkward.

Other Thoughts: Using with my Yamaha VX-471.

Great for $200.

Pros: Great sound in 20 x 20 room. I am not an audiophile, these sound much clearer than the more exspensive speakers in the bedroom.

Pros: Excellent speakers and quality.
These are wall mountable with brackets purchased
directly from kef for 20$ per pair. Look fantastic and sound even better.

Cons: Optional brackets only allow left and right swivel and no up or down movement.

Pros: I am a big fan of the KEF brand of speakers. I was looking to replace my Logitech computer speakers with something of a higher quality and I couldn't believe the price on this set. Now, it's not as powerful as the 3005 series, but they have plenty of oomph to add a new dimension to gaming. And they're great for music, too. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Other Thoughts: Long ago I worked at an electronics store, we offered KEF and I loved the sound. Naturally, as soon as I saw them for a great price on newegg I jumped on them. My wife loves the look, I love the sound and they are truly amazing surround sound speakers. I have a small living room, 11X18, so having this set as a 5.1 mated with the YAMAHA RX-V373BL 5.1-Channel AV Receiver (also just purchased from newegg) & I couldn't be happier.

Don't hesitate to purchase these speakers if you want high quality, clear sound in a small package. When I do my basement, I'd purchase these again as long as they're still available

Pros: Love them they hit hard and are just play good great quality sub kicks i thought my other speakers were good then i got these and i realized what good actually is. the speakers set on -10 on my amp receiver make my chair shake when they are at +10 or more its just like being at a concert or while playing starcraft its like the war is going on around you.

Cons: Like other say they are book shelf speakers so u need to buy mounts or just place them or book shelf/desks

Other Thoughts: Make sure you get a receiver i got a Yamaha rx something 500watt and it works really nice with it.

Pros: Paired these with a YAMAHA RX-V373BL so I paid under $400 for a home theater system, but it sounds like so much more. The mids and highs are crystal clear, but what blew me away was the base. My family and I live in a middle-class 2 story house and even standing on the second floor on the opposite side, that 8" sub makes you think your house is about to implode during an action scene in a movie, and I have the bass knob on the sub in the middle...

Cons: Center channel is the same shape as the rest of the channels so you can't place it in front of the TV. I have mine underneath sitting on the receiver instead.

Other Thoughts: I needed a second 5.1 system and really wanted to get another one of these sets while they're $200, but the shape of the center channel made me look around and I found a Klipsche set on sale with a dedicated center satellite, but cost me $100 more for the whole system. If you're on a budget, you won't find better speakers than these KEF.

Pros: This is an amazing little system. I picked this up as New Egg was running a special on them. The exceeded all my expectation. I still can't believe the sound I am getting out of something soo small. Highly Recommend!!

Pros: price was excellent on sale. Better than some Bose systems I've heard. The sub integrates nicely and seamlessly with the satellite speakers. The system easily fills a 10x28 ft room with 8 feet ceiling.

Cons: Was not available in black. Wish I had bought two.

Other Thoughts: Some folks claim that there is no mounting means for the satellite speakers. This is just plain wrong. Remove the plastic cover/stand at the bottom of each speaker and a mounting screw hole can be seen.

Pros: I got this for Christmas and I love the glossy white satellite speakers. I cannot belive the big sound and clarity of the music and movies. The package sounds amazing in my family room.

Cons: No speaker wire included. I guess that is normal..
