This review is from: PYLE PCA1 Mini 2 x 15W Stereo Power Amplifier
Pros: This amp actually packs a surprising amount of punch. I am using it with some smaller bookshelf speakers and this amp actually gets my speakers really loud without distorting. It is also nice to have a dedicated volume knob for desk use, even if it doesn't work particularly well.
Cons: This amp has a horrendous potentiometer in the volume knob. Out of the box there is a horrendous scratching noise for the frist 20 seconds after turning the amp on. That persisted for about a year, but now there is scratching when adjusting the volume whenever the amp is on and the stereo channels will fade out when adjusting the volume.
Other Thoughts: If you absolutely have no money then buy this amp, it performs great for the price. But I would highly recommend buying a different manufacturer, the volume knob scratching is unacceptable and it will eventually wear out in 2-3 years. A good amp should last 10+ years and you'll love yourself for spending the extra $40 on a nicer amp.
