M-M DVI-D Dual Link Digital Flat Panel Cable Pros: * cheap * long Cons: * terrible "artifacts" showing up when streaming video. i'm not sure if this from shielding or what, but it's noticeable and bad. Other Thoughts: i would not buy this again. sure, it's cheap, but i would gladly pay more to get something higher quality. the "artifacts"(not sure if proper term) come in the form of pixels blinking in-and-out while watching video on the monitor this is attached to. my advice to anyone thinking about buying one of these is to spend a little more and get a higher quality cable. unless you are using it for a second monitor where you will not spending large amounts of time looking at it. M-M DVI-D Dual Link Digital Flat Panel Cable Pros: DVI-D (Dual Link) cable. Impressive Length. Felt heavy and solid. solid. Cons: Pins 4 & 5 were slightly off-center. I fixed with a box cutter, no problem to correct this slight bend. The connectors are white, not black, as shown in the picture. Other Thoughts: There's 5 types of DVI cables. This makes it hard to look for cables. The cables: DVI-I (Single Link) - Digital and Analog DVI-I (Dual Link) - Digital and Analog DVI-D (Single Link) - Digital Only DVI-D (Dual Link) - Digital Only DVI-A - Analog only. With all these choices which is the right cable for you? If you're looking for resolutions higher than 1920x1200, you'll need a DVI-D cable. For example, 30" monitors and their 2560x1600 resolution... Otherwise, go with a single-link cable. I will be ordering 2 more of these cables, it's perfect for my needs. M-M DVI-D Dual Link Digital Flat Panel Cable Pros: Cost - I have this running to a 27" HP LCD monitor, at 1920x1080, with the cord running all around and over other monitor cables, power supplies, electrical cords, speakers and you name it. No interference whatsoever. Cons: None Other Thoughts: I just RMA'd 3 Rosewill brand 25' DVI-D Dual link cables that could hardly hold more than 1024x768 without cutting out with the cables run no where near anything else that could cause interference when I tested them. I really wanted 25' footers running to 3 of my monitors, but settled for this one and 2 15 footers. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you?
