Cons: stim broke off just afetr a few days of having used it 2 times the second time the stim broke off in my audio card,this is clearly a quality control issue

Pros: Works great, inconspicuous looks.

Cons: One of my toslink cables snaps tightly into the adapter, one does not. I think this is more an issue of relative cheapness of my cable rather than this adapter.

Other Thoughts: Most mac laptops come with a toslink output in the headphone jack, and most people don't even know this. I used this adapter to plug a regular ole toslink cable from my macbook pro into the optical digital input on my older non-HDMI receiver. The whole point was to run a purely digital signal to my receiver and get awesome sound through the headphones. Mission accomplished!

Other Thoughts: The description is wrong, this adapter is actually the standard 3.5mm toslink. not 2.5mm. So if you have an older soundblaster card or another brand that has 3.5mm toslink, this will work. Now I can enjoy dolby digital live encoding as well as DTS connect on my HTPC setup.

Other Thoughts: Like the other reviewer, I used this to buy a longer digital optical cable for my sound blaster card. Works great!

Pros: Used this to connect my existing optical cable to my Creative X-Fi Titanium HD with no issues.
