It works 100% of the time for the MacBook Pro. It works most of the time on PC. Most recently, Street Fighter V kept blinking in and out, making it unplayable. Plugging directly into the monitor and not using this cable fixed that issue. So pros: - Cheap - Mostly works Cons: - Doesn't always work when gaming. Sometimes cuts out 100%, sometimes "blinks" off for moments at a time. - I suspect this has to do with games that can produce higher frame rates, e.g. the higher the frame rate the more it cuts out. Pros: I purchased this cable to switch my monitor between PC (for gaming) and MacBook Pro (for everything else). It works 100% of the time for the MacBook Pro. It works most of the time on PC.
