Cons: played a couple of movies, then started making an awful noise. I could see the laser assembly stuttering like it could not get into the proper position.

Other Thoughts: I cracked open the case and found a connector that was loose (which I guess tells the motherboard where the laser assembly is). reconnected this cable all the way into the socket and have not had a problem since :)

Pros: Purchased for 29.99 on sale, refurbished. Great price for the product. It came with a power cord for car and home which is extremely convenient!

Cons: Light and seems like it would be easy to break.

Other Thoughts: I got this for my 2yr old daughter to take on trips here and there. It has been great overall, and she loves it.

Pros: None

Cons: Won't turn on.
Packaged with the wrong packing slip

Other Thoughts: I just received the device and it won't turn on. So much for the "QC Passed" sticker on it. Just to make sure it wasn't a low battery issue I left the device plugged in for a few hours, but still no response. Also it was packaged with someone else's packing slip outlining completely different merchandise.

Pros: Arrived very quickly and well packed (that is the pros for the Newegg shipping service)
Kids love it.
Low price for a thing.
Has built-in battery.
Can connect to a bigger TV.

Cons: Would like to have the remote.

Other Thoughts: If you need something not expensive for killing the time during the road trips - that thing would help you a lot (especially if you have kids).

Pros: great little box... didn't realize that it has a built in battery. Great deal for the price. Picture and everything was to be as expected, better to have the kids watching their movies on this than on my laptop all the time.

Cons: I think that the car cigarette adapter doesn;t work... once the battery on the unit died, I was unable to make it work on the car adapter. Once I plugged it in when we got back home, it fired right back up. Thought it was totally dead, that's how I found that it had its own internal battery.

Pros: Very low price.
Nice lid design.

Wish there was a unit that played blu rays for that price (but I still have some kid's DVDs for children to enjoy).

Other Thoughts: I was very hesitant to pull the trigger after the previous review, but I needed one for my son to use on the trip and just could not resist this price (with the warranty and NewEgg's customer service I knew there will be next to no risk to me).

After we received it we were very surprised that other than the brown box it looked brand new (maybe we just got lucky).

Everything worked properly and it played all of the DVDs we've tried in it so far (it sounds like the other reviewer received a unit with intermittent defects - I sure hope they returned the unit back to NewEgg - whenever I've had issues in the past, their customer service has been top notch). We have not tried running it just on battery to see how long it would last, but for our needs as long as it does not reset the movie during the "pit stops" it is sufficient, although advertised 2.5 hours battery time might prove a nice option when we go to the lake.

Pros: This is cute, it looks nice, and the price is pretty good.

Cons: Just a short while after we got this, it stopped working after the first movie was watched. So if we wanted to watch another, it would get stuck after a minute or so of play. If we waited, or paused it for a second, it might start to play again, but it would stop working again in another minute, or maybe 45 seconds this time. This would get progressively worse if you tried to continue the movie. Now it makes a horrible shrieking sound. It's worse every time we try to use it.
