2 out of 5 eggsWorked for about a month

Pros: When it worked, it kept the battery charged on my lawn mower. Also had one to keep a battery charged on Vanwagon I am putting back on the road.

Cons: Quit working after a few weeks. The first one stopped working after a month and the second lasted about 4 weeks.

Other Thoughts: At least I found out the quality of Sunforce products before I bought something big. I was looking at some of their larger panels. Guess I don't have to look anymore because Sunforce makes about much sense as buying a used Yugo.

4 out of 5 eggsthey're alright

Pros: Pretty solid, came in OEM packaging, like I brought it at a store
2 for the price of one
Gave one to my friend as a birthday gift

Cons: My 12volt lighter isn't on when the car is off so I had to run the clips..

Might just run my own pigtails

This isn't an issue with the product but most new cars will run into this problem I'd say..

4 out of 5 eggsIt works as intended

Pros: Inexpensive. Works as intended. This is NOT a charger, but works well as a maintainer. You could use it to charge smaller batteries. But even bank of 1.2v X 10 rechargeables will take about 10 hours to charge.

Cons: Not weather proof. Max mA is 110mA in Full TEXAS 12.30pm Sun.

Other Thoughts: People keep complaining about things this panel isn't meant to do. It's Not a charger. It will not charge a full size car battery. It can't charge a battery 30 min. That is just a lie. It's not going to power devices that take AMPs when it only puts out milliAmps.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's not the weatherproof model.

Pros: It's a solar panel to recharge 12V batteries.

From Manual:
Power Rating: Up to 1.8 watts
Current: 125 mAmps @ 15Volts

Cons: I ordered 3 twin packs for total of 6 of these. Each twin pack arrived in a separate box for shipping. There was zero packing material in each of the 3 shipping boxes. The two panels in their internal boxes were totally free floating around the box. Given the way UPS treats their boxes, I might not have 6 functioning panels.

These are the indoor model only, #52012 despite the NewEgg product labeling of model #52013. You have to manually put a bead of silicone on them yourself to weatherproof them. Prior comments here back this up as well. Even the exterior packing sticker of the box lists it as SunForce Item #52013 with NewEgg.com SKU# 82-260-003

Other Thoughts: Has clamps and cigarette lighter adapter to connect to. Voltage output just tested at 18.62V at 6:30pm in south Texas, so the voltage generation is acceptable for 12V charging.

If you use it in a vehicle with cig adapter, make sure your plug can draw power while your engine is off, otherwise this will not charge the battery. If not, you will have to rewire your plug to to be always live despite engine status.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: Good idea, sale at Newegg, Newegg and shipping went smoothly.

Cons: Bought these for a truck that I don't use very often and I wanted to make sure that it would start up whenever necessary. Terrible product. The panels warp severely, the windshield suction cups are laughable, and one of the panels actually DRAINED the battery in both of my vehicles. After about a months use, I finally stopped using them and had to put the regular battery charger on my vehicles to make sure they were both fully charged.

Other Thoughts: If you want to waste money, just light it on fire. I can't give zero eggs or I would!

2 out of 5 eggsNot as shown

Pros: 2 panels - with 8 feet wires
2 sets of adapters (clamps, cigarette lighter)
Used without a car to charge a MP3 player - worked fine.

Cons: Terrible packaging. Box half air without any filling/padding.
OEM box. NewEgg just labeled it.
No display shelf packaging like the NewEgg website shows.
One panel was wrapped in bubble wrap, the other bouncing around loose. A second way to small piece of bubble wrap was also loose in the box.
Abrasive damage to wires where they were bent. Insulation worn so thin that if it were 120 volt I would replace the wires. Metal not showing through. One side on one battery clip also worn down.

Other Thoughts: I'm still using a solar battery charger I've had for about 20 years. They are great for the vehicle that is not used every week and is parked outside. We left our car at a U-Store for 3 months while traveling and when we came back we brushed the snow off and it started right up.

1 out of 5 eggsWill not work in many vehicles

Pros: May work for some.

Cons: This will not work in cig lighter socket in many vehicles. Was thinking of getting this for my Mercedes. The socket is ignition key controlled.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Keeps a battery charged where you can't get to an outlet.
Works well for maintaining a charge on our farm vehicles/implements that are only used seasonally.
Picked them up on sale.

Cons: Takes a while to charge a low battery and you have to wait for the battery to recharge before you can start it.

Other Thoughts: If you use the cigarette lighter, be aware that many vehicles disable the cigarette lighter when you turn off the ignition. If your vehicle is wired this way, that disables the charger... which is what I think happened to one of the reviewers.
We attached ours wired through the fuse box or directly to the battery with the clamps.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: - "Green" way to keep your car's battery maintained.

Cons: - Won't keep my car's battery charged. Doesn't matter if I use just one charger or both of them on a Y-adapter.

- You would think that because these are solar chargers, emphasis on "solar," they would be somewhat heat resistant. After a week of sitting outside in the "searing" North-Central Illinois heat both of these chargers were significantly warped, so much so that the suction cup locks wouldn't hold the suction cups anymore.

- Which brings me to my final complaint, the suction cups. You can clean your windshield all you want. Try to stick the suction cups on dry, damp, or wet either way they refuse to hold for more than 24 hours.

Other Thoughts: Horrible product. It's a nice thought to try and do your small part for the environment and keep your car's battery maintained using solar energy. Unfortunately, they don't work at all and now I have to buy a traditional maintainer.

4 out of 5 eggsI like them

Pros: Inside my dark house, the solar panel started blinking indicating it was pushing a charge. When moved toward the windows, the voltage shot up to almost 5v. Outside, but not in direct sunlight, it pushed right up to 15v+ and in the sun it rocketed to 30v. That should be enough to trickle charge any car battery.

Cons: They are NOT two 50013's as implied by the model number. It's two 50012s. Not a to big a problem, but the 50012 are NOT weather proof like the 50013's are. I was supposed to hear back from Newegg customer support to confirm which item it was before I ordered, but I never did and the sale was almost over.

Other Thoughts: Very impressed. Great value if they last. I'm using it to charge smaller 12v batteries. I estimate it takes two days to fully charge them.
