VIZIO VSB201 2CH Home Theater Sound Bar-Refurbished Each

Pros: Sounded good -- while it lasted.

Cons: It didn't last long. First one I ordered would randomly turn off every half an hour or so. Sent it back and exchanged for another of the same model, refurbished form New Egg. Lasted just past their 30 day return window, then died. Now I'm stuck with this big brick.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a large blunt object with which to hit somebody over the head, this is a great choice. If you're looking for a soundbar that produces sound and will last longer than a month, you probably want to look elsewhere.

Pros: None

Cons: STAY AWAY unless you like spending lots of time on the phone and having products that dont work. Two units, two failures. Very disappointing. These are apparently defective returns from WalMart, so Vizio won't even provide support.

Other Thoughts: I won't buy any more refurbed stuff from Newegg, especially because it can't be returned and exchanges were a real hassle. The manufacturer wont even support it. But customer service, after a long discussion, was reasonable and came up with a solution that will keep me with newegg.

Pros: None

Cons: 1st one lasted 3 hours before failing. The replacement had a bad power supply and never did work. The third one lasted 5 minutes before failing. My TV is a Vizio so no compatibility problems. Fed up. Will be out for the trash man on Monday AM--wasted $55.00. Never again!!

Pros: Sound is good if it works

Cons: Probably won't work, may be dirty.

Other Thoughts: I have been burnt more than once ordering refurbs from newegg. I do own this model but did not buy it from here. The sound on the bar is great if you are not looking for surround sound type quality. I guess what I mean by great is that it's louder. I have limited space and live in an old home. I did not want wires exposed, or to have to do major repairs to my lath and plaster walls, so this was a good option for louder sound.

Side note, I have been extremely disappointed in newegg's "refurbs" as of late. Plain and simple, they have nothing to do with it nor do they check the products before they make it to you. I have ordered refurb items recently and they were not only non-functioning but they were actually dirty. :(

Pros: looks nice

Cons: The first one worked for a day and quit producing sound. The second one would quit producing sound after a few minutes until you turned it off and back on. Couldn't even make it through a half hour show.

Other Thoughts: I've never been too leery of refurbished units until this thing. I wish I could do less than one egg.

Pros: None

Cons: Sounded decent for two minutes, shut off and never turned back on. Total disappointment with a bonus, I get to pay return shipping now.

Other Thoughts: I SET THIS UP WITH MY NEW 42 IN TV AND IT WORKED GREAT FOR A DAY. SECOND DAY WENT TO TURN IT ON AND GOT A POPING NOISE AND NO SOUND AFTER THAT. AFTER MULTIPLE TIMES OF TRYING TO TURN IT ON AND GETTING THE POPING NOISE I LET IT SIT FOR A FEW HOURS AND TRIED AGIAN...NOTHING..HOOKED IT UP TO MY IPOD AND GOT THE SAME THING..SO I CALLED NEWEGG AND GOT AN RMA FOR RETURN. SENT IT BACK YESTERDAY AND JUST WAITING ON MY STORE CREDIT. TO BAD..I LIKED THE SOUNDBAR. IT SOUNDED GOOD IN MY BEDROOM.
