RC-Micro is Energy’s most compact collection of high-tech components—satellites and center channel. Though small, this system packs a big wallop inside their great looking high-gloss black cabinets.

This system delivers lifelike performance from your favorite games and movies, with their screaming aluminum cone tweeters to the bottom end provided by the woofers, which features a Ribbed Elliptical surround for great bass extension. Keyhole slots and threaded inserts let you choose how and where to place your speakers.

  • newegg Compact and stylish The five micro-sized speakers with high-gloss black finish look great with contemporary flat panels.
  • newegg High efficiency and low distortion The exclusive Ribbed Elliptical Surround that encircles the woofers is unlike any other. By changing the shape of the speaker surround to an ellipse, rather than the traditional “half roll,” distortion is reduced dramatically. Side benefits include increased excursion and larger piston area, allowing for greater efficiency. Energy’s cast basket woofers also feature this technology, allowing the surround to stretch and contract as it moves, eliminating dimpling.
  • newegg Sonic accuracy The .50-inch hyperbolic aluminum dome tweeter on the satellites and center channel focuses sound for clearer dialogue and stirring music. Gold plated push connectors ensure positive connection for top-flight performance.
  • newegg Magnetic shielding Magnetic shielding eliminates interference with CRTS for placement flexibility.

5 out of 5 eggsBig Sound, Small Package

Pros: - tiny footprint
- deep, rich sound from front and sides
- clear dialogue from center
- tested with Tron Legacy...amazing...fills a 16x20 room

Cons: - no 7.1 option unless you buy another set and break them up

Other Thoughts: - bought ESW-C8 subwoofer separately to complete the 5.1 package

5 out of 5 eggsBig Sound in a small package!

Pros: After testing small satellite speaker systems I decided to give the micros a try. I am still in the break in period and the sound simply keeps getting better. Amazing highs and clarity. Life like sound, a guess kept telling me water was running somewhere in the house only to find out these speakers made the movie sound life like! Perfect match for my Pioneer Elite receiver.

Cons: No cons, had to purchase a sub.

Other Thoughts: I will be adding more Energy Speakers to complete my system.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT for how little they are

Pros: WOW! incredible how loud these things can get. when you crank them up they do get distorted a little but not as much as you would think with little speakers!

Cons: NONE!!!

Other Thoughts: i got this with the pioneer SW-8 subwoofer and the pioneer VSX-821-k receiver. i turned the subwoofer up to 150hrz and put turned the bass dial to 12o-clock position. it works magic!

5 out of 5 eggsMicro Cubes

Pros: The sound is impressive from this Micro set. Being tiny they can be placed just about anywhere. I use them in the sun room with a Polk sub-woofer and they deliver very big sound for the price. The build quality is well above average.
I have to agree that they are a STEAL @ $129.

Cons: None so far

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Speakers

Pros: Hooked these things up to my Denon receiver and they sound great. Very crisp and don't distort even at higher volumes.

Cons: Definitely need to invest in a sub. These guys have no low end at all.

Other Thoughts: They're smaller than I thought they'd be, but that's not a bad thing.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat speakers

Pros: Sound is outstanding for these little guys. These should be flying off the shelf's at this price. I've had these for several years and when calibrated with your reciever, you wouldn't find better for this price. Check CNET reviews.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsWow, what a great set of small speakers

Pros: This is such a great system for small speakers. My girlfriend and I have generally lived in small places so we didn't want anything really big. She could honestly care about the sound system, as long as it's easy to use and not big and ugly. This is the perfect system. These things look cute and small but man do they really sound great. I'm actually an audio engineer, I write music professionally and edit film and TV for a living. These reproduce 5.1 very nicely and very cleanly. One might say they may want a bigger center channel, but for a small room this is perfect. I wouldn't recommend this for a large family room as others have pointed out, you'd probably want to go a little bigger.

BUT - They're clear, precise, have great range, and are of fantastic construction. I bought these on sale for $145 and I could not be happier.

Cons: A bit harsh at first. After the break in period they start to smooth out a bit more.

Other Thoughts: You obviously need a sub with this system although they do have great midrange without the boxiness. I'd recommend the Energy ESW C8 which is a perfect match for this system as the sub produces up to 150hz and blends perfectly with the surrounds. I use this with my new VSX-821K and it sounds fantastic. I used 16 guage speaker wire and it baaaarely fits in there, so you might want to double check what kind of wire you are using since it can fit pretty tightly.

5 out of 5 eggsbought 2 sets

Pros: you cant go wrong .. i have them as my rears in the living room with a yamaha receiver ..yamaha sub.. and yamaha tower ..3/ways...polk audio center speaker...and the other 2 i put in the bedroom...hooked up to my sony 5.1... they are great... make sure you break them in for the 100 hrs like it says .. and turn up the volume after that...they crank... my buddy like them so much i ordered him a set... now im going to get a set just for extra.. thinking about throwing a pair in the garage hooked up to another yamaha i have out there ...i cant say anything about the center still sitting in the box .. but i have no doubt its also a great speaker.. ill tell you as soon as my yamahas die... in the living room.. i will be going with energy towers... customer for life ... i also have heavy duty 12 (g) wire hooked up to these .. but i would say any wire... get some pins ... they slide right in no problem ..bare wire will be tough...

Cons: i have these on speaker stands which work great.. but i can see if you want to mount to a wall .. the set up with the terminals might be a problem..

Other Thoughts: you will need a subwoofer.. but any surround sound set up does..

5 out of 5 eggsGreat speaker system

Pros: Everything in the specs is true. Speakers sounds great for an average person. If you want a living room audio system, this is perfect enough for you. If you want more than that, consider spending $3k for an audio system.

Cons: Speaker connections at the back are small. Hard to fit in small AWG's. I used 14AWG and it barely fits. I don't think a 12AWG will fit at all in the back connections.

Other Thoughts: Wish it came with short speaker cables to test out first before buying full length speaker cables.
