Polk's Monitor Series has been the gold standard of speakers since the 1970's. This current generation features clear, accurate sound with strong bass and exceptional aural imaging. Polk made the enclosures out of MDF to be of a uniform density and not resonate. They've also included ¾" thick baffles to help produce clear lifelike sound.
The 5.25" cone is made from a bi-laminate composite for an optimal balance of weight and rigidity. The small driver delivers a wide open sound and exceptional responsiveness. The 1" tweeter is a fabric/polymer composite the responds swiftly to the high efficiency Neodymium magnet. The crossovers between the drivers use Mylar bypass capacitors to let all of the details in the higher frequencies shine through.
No matter how good they sound, they have to look good too. Their contemporary look complements today's flat panel televisions and modern decorating styles.

Pros: Priced very well for a quality product. Super speedy shipping. Could not find a better deal out there. Really, two POLK bookshelf speakers for 89 bucks and free shipping! Can not beat that deal anywhere. These speakers are awesome for the price.
Cons: Wish I had a new egg store down the road so I could shop there if one existed.

Pros: Price, Price, Price. The sound quality is very good and for $100, they exceeded my expectations. Their strong suit - surround sounds. I am pleased with this purchase
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Take a look at Polk, they make good sounding products at affordable prices. You could pay a lot more and end up with a lot less.

Other Thoughts: I guess there is something to the saying "Try to match your speakers". I had bose 701's in the front and JBL's in the rear. I had no real complaints until I upgraded to Blu-ray. I now have all Polk's, monitor 70's front,30 rears. PSW110 sub,CS10 center. I am shocked how great everything sounds for the money I paid for the whole set($800). Newegg...thank you

Pros: Good weight, come with wall mounting bracket and standoffs attached. Bi-amp/bi-wiring capable.
Cherry finish matches the end tables, bookshelf and dvd rack in the living room. I also have an American Cherry laminate floor, so the speakers are darker and provide a nice contrast.
Cons: rear ported could be a con, if you wanted them flush with the wall. The standoffs keep it off the wall by 1 inch. I am ok with this
Other Thoughts: I am using the 30's as my rear surrounds in a 5.1 setup. I have 50's for the fronts and a CS2 for the center. I think I could have gotten away with the 30's for the fronts, so they are great for the surrounds.

Pros: I already own these speakers. Like the description and other people have said these speakers produce excellent crystal clear sound. You hear notes other speakers miss.
