Polk Audio CS2 Cherry Center Channel Loudspeaker Each

Pros: Great Sound, easy to set up.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Like others have said, check the size specs to make sure you have enough space. I'm not an audiophile so all I know is that it sounds much better than my much smaller old center channel.

Pros: Previous setup was an older Infinity Primus set. Compared to what are essentially bookshelf speakers, this Center and the Monitor 60's I picked up are years beyond it. Makes me wish I'd of upgraded much sooner.

When this (and the other Polk speakers) go on sale via Newegg, I seriously doubt you can piece together a better HT setup for the price.

Cons: I'll probably end up doing some more tweaking on my receiver, but compared to the Monitor 60's, the tone appears to be a bit more flat.

Not really a con, but worth mentioning. It's a beefy speaker. Make sure you have a place set aside for it.

Other Thoughts: I had read that the 6.5" drivers make a significant difference over the 5.25" drivers on the CS1. How true that is I'm not certain of; what I can say with certainty that this is a quality unit.

Pros: This has great sound. Coupled with Polk Monitor 70s, 40s and RCI6s in ceiling (for rear sorrounds)

Cons: Nice sound, clear dialogs

Other Thoughts: These have very long break in times (The Monitor series). They started getting better for almost a year.

Pros: This speaker was a huge step up from what I was previously using (an older MUCH smaller HK center), so it was an immediate improvement. For 80$ shipped, this speaker was a killer deal, and it is worth much more that price. Solid construction and it looks nice as well. I would definitely recommend

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: Probably the best center channel you could buy for this price.

Pros: Cosmetically:
The finish actually looks much better than pictured, a little darker too (but not dark like the series II). I'm going to paint it black to match the L/R Monitor 60's.
It's got some weight to it. As others have stated this thing is big. It fit perfectly under my TV on the top shelf of my center, with probably 1 centimeter of room left above it. I like the size, it dwarfs my previous center.
Sound:
I will post back when broken in but straight away it sounds so much more full than my previous center. Vocals sound excellent and really stands out now, the soundstage is quiet a bit wider than I had before as well which really is nice since we have a bunch of seating positions. I bought this for Blu Rays and it does not disappoint. Soundtracks and environmental sound is amazing. Full mids, accurate highs that don't pierce the ear drum and crystal clear pronounced vocals really help my movies to 'Pop'

Cons: None - everything about this guy, size, weight, finish were as expected, sound is amazing.

Other Thoughts: I bought this on sale for half of the black finish, it has the same sound quality, I plan on painting it black anyways. I might not have to though as it fits completely inside my center with really no visible finish. Excellent center for any home theater.

Pros: I finally replaced my Sony ES center channel since this was on sale for 8y bones, it had been on my to-do list for a while and who can argue with that price? Like every other review states, this center sounds great. It blends well with my other Polk speakers (see below).

On a side note, I have no idea why people think these are so huge, it is exactly the size you would expect a center channel with two 6.5" drivers to be.

If the sale is still going on, and you aren't buying one, then I'm sorry.

Cons: the veneer was a little sloppy, must have been the guy's first day on the job or something. This is not normal for Polk, and I am painting them black anyway (the sale was only for the cherry), so I wont take an egg off.

Pros: Great and clear sound both for movies and music. Cherry finish is well done. Sloped back so it can be pointed up if it's on the floor, which mine is. Sounds good at low and high volume.

Cons: I guess the only "con" is that it is large, but with 6.5" speakers I imagined it would be.

Other Thoughts: Great speaker, fantastic Newegg deal. Tons of sound, almost overkill for my little living room. Matches nicely with Monitor 70's I purchased at same time.

Pros: Awesome sound! Upgraded from a Polk CS250s center with Polk S10 for front mains. The cs250s has 4 1/2 " drivers & just couldn't deliver the center channel enough. Installed the CS2 & immediately heard a huge difference. Clearer, fuller sound - had to actually turn down the center level to balance the fronts as compared to the CS250S. Also I was concerned about the tonal match to the S10's. Wasn't even an issue- perfect!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Got this on sale for $100- cannot believe the price.
This purchase was a true bargain

Pros: Sound great. Voices are very clear and bright.

Cons: This thing is huge. Like really huge. Make sure you have space for it!

Other Thoughts: I'm using these plus Monitor 70s and going to get the Monitor 30s for surround with my ONKYO 7.2-Channel Black Home Theater Receiver TX-SR607. Sounds awesome. Next purchase will be a better subwoofer!
