The sound isn't really coming from out of thin air, though your guests may think so. The frame and grill of the RC80i in-wall speakers are paintable to match virtually any décor. Its round design mimics the look of recessed lighting. The easy install cam locks make installation a four step process, cut hole, run wire, install speaker, enjoy the music.

These full range speakers have a 35Hz to 20kHz frequency response so you don't even need to find a place to hide a subwoofer. The mid/woofer is an 8" mineral filled polymer cone and the tweeter is a 1" metalized soft dome tweeter. The tweeter is swivel mounted in a ball-and-socket joint so you can precisely aim the sound.

These speakers use durable, moisture resistant materials so they are safe to use in bathrooms, kitchens, or under the eaves. They are tuned to use the in-wall space as a virtual enclosure for fantastic bass response.

Easy to install Cons: Better speakers exist...but not for the money. Would be nice if the option to buy one at time existed as I am using one as a center channel. Other Thoughts: I have 3 of these in my ceiling as fronts/center and then two of the 60i as rears. Solid in-ceiling speakers for the price. Very easy to install with the included templates. The sound quality is good, not great, but for a set of speakers in my bathroom it works well, if you are looking for theater quality sound, look elsewhere, but for a environmental speaker this is great. According to the instructions you can use these in bathrooms, kitchens, saunas, anyplace the speaker can be sealed in and protect the electronics on top. Cons: It only fastens to the sheathing, so for my bathroom 5/8 drywall. I added a bit of extra reinforcement as I don't want screws popping or any rattling. Other Thoughts: I did alot of research on speakers, and after finding these I couldn't pass them up for the price and performance.
