4 out of 5 eggsNot that bright

Pros: Very good mids and highs
good dynamics
nice design
short break in period

Cons: not enough presence in a big room (25feetx15feet)

Other Thoughts: So here is the thing. I heard a lot of people complaining that TSi were bright...
well I got the tsi300 cs100 and tsi100.
I hooked them up to my denon 391 with my polk PSW505.
yes they sounded bright. I waited a couple days for them to break in.
They definitely sounded brighter than my SP-FS52 that I had a week earlier. but the TSi300 showed a lot more dynamic.
my setup was all small speakers, crossover at 80Hz. And I tried different things. then I decided to dish my denon 391 and replace it with a 1612 so I could leverage Audissey. Well Audissey automatic setup put some settings I would never had thought off (F/L:large, C/SRs:small, CrossOver at 40Hz all). The equalizer also adds up I think. but at the end, those speakers sound really great compared to when I first purchased them.
I can definitely say that they are way better than the Pioneer now. And the "brightness" is now a lot more balanced.

I decided to try the Definitive Bp8b and associated center. can't wai

5 out of 5 eggsGreat aurora but lacks bass

Pros: Great mid and upper range.
Well built and nice looks.
Natural sound.

Cons: Lacks lows. A sub is needed to help with 40 Hz and below.

Other Thoughts: Only marginally better than Monitor 50. I'd buy Monitor 50 instead if money's tight.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The speakers look great and blend well with the rest of the equipment. Perfect for TV listening.

Cons: The highs are a bit to brillaint and sound harsh as opposed to smooth. The bass is very weak. Use for TV listening only.

Overall very dissapointed even though they are low end speakers, still expected more from Polk

Other Thoughts: Fortunately I bought these very cheap as a temporary solution. When I get the Klipsch Speakers I want, the Polks will be thrown away.

5 out of 5 eggsTSi300 Towers

Pros: These little champs produce good clean sound and a good rumble when they need to lol Compared to my older speakers I used previously, these babies sound much better. I have them paired with a Pio 9040-TXH Rcvr, and...I Think I Know What Heaven Sounds Like! ( =D) I have a CS20 for the center ch on order and plan to move these boys to the rears and get the TSi500's for fronts, but thats in due time. I imagine those Giants will sound even better than the 300's!

Overall, the 300's are a great buy and would def recommend these to anyone wanting decent sound and value in a speaker, 5 Stars! =)

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: The piano top finish goes very well with my setup, have a good solid build, and are bottom ported. They are also a little heavy which is a good thing =)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Speakers - Great Value

Pros: If you're looking for good sound quality, reasonable size, and versatility... By far the best bang for your buck. From what I gathered from reviews (here, there, and everywhere) these speakers measure up to some of the higher priced options out there. I wanted to floor speakers that can stand well on their own but can partner up with a customized home theater setup. I haven't hit the latter yet - but I have a friend that has the same speakers... and they're bangin. Good stuff.

Cons: Nada.

5 out of 5 eggsGRRREAT!

Pros: These speakers arrived very fast and in pristine condition. The packaging needs improvement going through the carriers, mine had a few holes in the cardboard boxes but no damage. The speakers are being used a surround set with a home theater system (front-RT 800's)and work just fantastic. As perviously noted, they lack the base response but the sub woofer does what it's suppose to do and fills the void. Absolutely cannot complain about the price and professional tracking provided. These are a 'keeper'.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I don't think these would do very well as front speakers. They just don't have the response required there.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the money

Pros: The overall smoothness and clarity of these small towers is outstanding, and the amount of bass they produce for only having 2 small woofers is amazing. I temporarily placed them a full 4 feet from the wall and they still produced enough bass to rattle the walls. My subwoofer is only having to work at the very lowest frequencies.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I compared these to the TSI400's before purchase and thought the 400's had a fuller and richer sounding low-midrange on music (i.e. deep male voices), but with the price I got on the 300's from Newegg, I'm have no complaints with these. I would highly recommend them.

5 out of 5 eggsTSi300Blk Rock!!!

Pros: Great C/P ratio (bought it when it's on sale ^_^). Unbeatable price.
Clarity is greatly improved from my old R40.
High and mid tone is amazing under all general use.
Cabin construction is well made. (31lb is good)

Cons: None period.

Other Thoughts: This TSi300 is designed for small/mid size living room Home entertainment. If you are looking for front tower speakers for 14X12ft and under living room, this is one of the best choice which you won't regret.

Now I just have a better excuse to retire my old Polk R40 ^__^
