ICON Loading...

The TSi300 is the most compact tower speaker in the TSi series. Its affordable price and small footprint means they can be used as the front channels in a home theater system or as the main speakers in a music system. For home theater, pair it up with some TSi100's or OWM3's for surrounds, CS10 center and PSW series subwoofer and you'll have a spectacular sounding system. Non-resonant all-MDF enclosure construction with ? thick baffle ensures clearer and cleaner sound quality. Dual five-way binding post connectors, allowing for more secure hook-up options, as well as bi-wiring and bi-amping flexibility.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Good sound
Value priced
Cherry Cabinet

Cons: They don't impress your audiophile snob friends

Other Thoughts: My hearing was shot when I was a youngster listening to Led Zepplin at high volume, so I don't really need expensive speakers where I can tell the difference between an aluminum and steel pin dropping.

Got a chance to listen to these in a big box store and compare to Sonys and other comparably priced speakers. These far surpassed the competition in sound and clarity. When I hooked them up, my spouse (who hears worse than I do) really noticed a difference. When I told them I got them on a NewEgg sale, she was impressed.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Speaker for the Price!

Pros: Polk is a leader in home theater speakers. Excellent highs and mids with these. Cherry looks great, not cheap like some other brands. The piano finish on top looks fantastic, elegant.

Cons: These speakers are very bright at first. Give them some time, they'll break in nicely. You will need a sub for sure. Not much base at all with these.

Other Thoughts: Currently I'm using 2 TSi300's up front with a CS20 for the center and 2 sets of OWM3's in the rear with a Velodyne 12" sub. I think I'll move the TSi300's to the back, keep 1 set of OWM3's in the rear and get some TSi 500's for the fronts. I like the 300's up front but I think I need a little more up there.

4 out of 5 eggsTSI300's

Pros: Can't beat these speakers for the price. Great highs and mids. Very nice appearence in the Cherry.

Cons: A little on the light side but that really isn't a con.

Other Thoughts: These speakers work perfectly for my use which is in my garage. I wouldn't use these as a main speaker in the house unless you have a tight budget and for sure you'll need a sub if your using these for HT. The 300's would make for a great set of surrounds and can actually handle some decent power. Very clear sounding but tend to go off track at really high volumes. The 300's are much better then the 400's IF you are just looking to listen to them in 2.1 which I don't even do that in my garage. Save the money over the 400's and pick up a powered sub to go with these and you'll be very pleased with the bang for your buck.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice sound when matched with the sub woofer. Cherry cabinet is very nicely done. Feels solid.

Cons: As others have mentioned, the packing is rather thin, so check it out.

Other Thoughts: New egg delivery was perfect.

5 out of 5 eggsClean and accurate response at a great price

Pros: Sound great! Look great! Newegg's prices rock!

Sound great solo. If you plan on using these speakers with a sub, these will do just fine; no need to step up to the TSi400 or above unless you're really pumping some serious power into them. I can take them all the way to the -0.0 mark and a lil further before they start getting harsh.

With all the tower speakers in my house now, I feel like I live in a club when I throw on some techno or somethin, even at -10.0.

Just for an idea, with 7 speakers... comfortable music listening level is about -35ish, normal HT -22, LOUD HT/music use -10ish, so loud girlfriend can barely hear me screaming 5 feet away -5 to -0.0. Prolonged exposure (10-15+minutes) is guaranteed to harm hearing beyond that. goes to +16.5, never got it past +2.0... and I like it LOUD

Cons: Down-firing port results in vibrations easily being transferred into floor. Can cause a minor loss in sound quality. Also, no carpet spike option.

Very light construction. Doesn't even tap 30lbs. My Polk R50s aren't even an inch bigger in every direction, but weigh almost twice as much! I haven't taken them apart, but I'd like to know how good the internal bracing is.

Just a personal preference, but I like to see them without the grilles, but it looks 'different' to see the tweeter between the woofers, instead of being above them.

Difficult to clean handprints off piano black top. You'll need a microfiber towel to keep from scratching it. The protective cloth that comes in the packaging actually works well.

All in all.. I still love em!!!!!!

Other Thoughts: 70% HT use, 30% music

Yamaha RX-V665 7.2
Fronts: Polk TSi300s Cherry of course!
Center: Polk CSR Black... ugh
Surrounds: Polk R50s Cherry
Rear Surrounds: more Polk R50s Cherry
Subwoofer: Premier Acoustic PA-120 Cherry (soon to be 2)
Presence/Zone2: Polk VM10 Titanium
