Pros: This center gives great sound right where it should. With video the actors sound like they are standing in front of you. With music the vocals carry amazingly well, crisp and clear. I am impressed for the money I paid.
Cons: This is probably just a nit but I do not like the black sided, they are two shiny and hide the nice cherry finish of the rest of the speaker. It is also big but that relates to big sound as well.
Other Thoughts: Great deal, get one while they last.

Pros: Fantastic clear, detailed sound. Tested extremely smooth response.. literally + or - 1 dB from 80hz to 20khz. I spent thousands of $ attempting to build my own HT speakers stubbornly for years and finally gave in to "buy." I researched several brands, focused on Polk from reviews and what I knew about them. Went to Big Box retailer and auditioned the new version of this and monitor 60's, came home and found these on Newegg, and bought them right there. You need at least 5.25" woofers in the CC because half or more of the content comes from the CC, and need the bass at least down to 80-90hz to properly carry the bulk of human voice. Placement under the TV puts the speaker fairly close to the floor, reducing the amount of floor reflection cancellation which occurs between 150 hz to 300 hz, which can be a huge hole if your Fronts are tall and the drivers are high. Pair this with monitor 60's with the extra woofer down low. Quality, awesome sound, value.
Cons: Cant get around that 5.25 inch woofers force the speaker height to be 6.5 inches, which will require the TV to sit up on some kind of additional shelf. Insignificant to getting it right. Far, far better to get the 5.25" to get bass down to 80 hz than small, tinny woofers any smaller.
Other Thoughts: Again, the frequency response of these tested flat + or - 1 dB from 80 hz to 20k hz. There are many many speakers for thousands of dollars that do not meet these specs.
Way to go Newegg and Polk! Unbelievable quality, attractive cabinets, awesome sound for less than the cabinets should cost without the speakers! Wow!

Pros: Sound from these speakers cannot be beat for this price range, or probably even higher priced units. It complimenta my TSi100's perfectly, nice clear dialogue from movies and TV programs.
Seriously, if you're in need of a great center channel speaker, just get this one, you will not be dissapointed.
Cons: Rather large, not really a con tho. Well, I guess it would be nice if it would make me a sandwich but hey, can't win 'em all.
Other Thoughts: Pair this with some nice mains and you'll be set for quite awhile. Also, man Newegg ships fast, ordered on Tuesday afternoon, got delivery on Thursday. Good times right thar.
