5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory!

Pros: Packaging is great. Ram feels well built and the heat sinks are slim. It didn't interfere with my giant cooler master CPU cooler.

Cons: None, works as advertised.

Other Thoughts: Installed in my Asus M4A77TD with latest Bios as 1600, bumped up the multiplier and FSB and now she's running 1866 with my AMD 955 air cooled to 4.2ghz.

These replaced some really nice corsair xms3 1333 6gig ram sticks. There is a noticeable difference in load lag in games like BF3 and WoW. It seems to be real smooth with large graphic textures from today's PC games.

I would recommend the upgrade to 1866 ram.

The package says intel this and that recommended, don't let it scare you it works perfect in my socket AM3 Asus board.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!!

Pros: Very capable sub. Good with music, awesome with movies. Don't think my neighbors like me anymore. I highly doubt anyone could find a sub with as much output as this one for the price. Got it for $199!

Cons: It doesn't bring home a paycheck to support me

Other Thoughts: I have them paired with the energy ps-500 setup. While those speakers are good, I would recommend something a little larger to match with this sub.

5 out of 5 eggsBye Bye Movie Theaters, Hello Home Theater

Pros: Excellent movie and music performance for the price. Perfect for a Home Theater that doesn't break the bank. LFE input! The days of spending $10.00 for popcorn and a drink are OVER!!!

Cons: Cabinet a little large if you don't have a lot of room but remember, this is a 12"sub. Too much for apartment/dorm dwellers.

Other Thoughts: I own two of these and am extremely pleased. Matched with Polk center, sides, & rears in a 7.2 home theater. Once you find the sweet spot and adjust crossovers you will never leave home to watch a movie again. That LFE "feeling" was just what I was looking for. The war scene in War Horse was stunning! I spent a long time reading reviews, researching, and listening to in-store demo units before I purchased. The combination of Polk's performance and Newegg's price led me to these. Perfect for the average living room sized home theater. Too much for apartment dwellers unless you invite everyone in the building to watch with you.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy it. Rather, but them.

Pros: Construction
Sound
Great Value
Color, look
I bought two, expected bass to be too much, and it wasn't. As long as signal is set properly these can cruse at 50% power and destroy your face.

Cons: Made in China. And the box looks it when it shows up.

Cheap packing tape on box, open when it arrived.

Think the tape budget got trimmed a little too deep

Other Thoughts: Could wait, or just pay more than double for the new a equivalent, but it does look better, and allows for either, downward or forward firing.

5 out of 5 eggsBest boom for the buck!

Pros: Excellent build quality, design, and aesthetics
Small size and large sound
LFE input so no need for a Y-adapter
Excellent music sub and performs well for movies

Cons: Cheap plastic grills
Feet are hard plastic, only a con because I stack one on top another so i needed to insert a piece of rubber under each

Other Thoughts: Picked two of them up for the cheaper than one of the other recommended subs priced below $200, cannot beat these sub in the price range! I stacked them using a 7.2 receiver and having two makes a world of difference! Make sure you crawl test them to find the sweet spot in the room, they did not sound good in the front with my towers but that is only because I have no corners up there. Also, make sure you break them in about 30-40 hours before judging them, they really open up after the break-in period.

5 out of 5 eggsPolk PSW505

Pros: I now own two of these.
My neighbor has three screaming Banshees for children.
My turn...

Cons: Busted grill on one unit.
Polk is replacing at no charge.

Other Thoughts: The Polks destroy my 15" JBL $1000 sub.

5 out of 5 eggsPolk Audio PSW505 Subwoofer

Pros: I have had the PSW505 hooked up to my system for a few weeks now and have to say that the thing is BIG. The last subwoofer owned was part of a Sony HTIB setup. This thing dwarfs the Sony; the entire system fits in a box the size of the box the PSW505 comes in. The LFE option is great and the subwoofer shakes the walls with delight. When they go on sale again, I would like to pick up another; after all, may as well take advantage of what my receiver can handle. Of course there will be much to discuss with the wife in order to convince her that another PSW505 is a necessity. This subwoofer has met and exceeded my expectations.

Cons: Does not pay my bills and does not cook my dinner.

Other Thoughts: Current System:

Onkyo HT-RC360 7.2 Channel Receiver
Polk Audio Monitor Series II 70’s x2 in front
Polk Audio Monitor Series II 60’s x2 in rear
Polk Audio CS2 in center
Polk Audio PSW505 subwoofer

One day another set of 70’s and another PSW505 will join the setup.

5 out of 5 eggsMore rumble than a psw110

Pros: It is better than a 110. A 110 set @ 90% hits what this does at 40%.

Cons: After reading the review I had to buy the darn thing. Darn review purchasing companies.

Other Thoughts: Why do speakers cost this much? Even at 50% of retail paying that much for a magnet glued to a particleboard box seams wrong somehow.

4 out of 5 eggsBOOM BOOM!

Pros: Lot's of spunk. A solid Bash amp, and a nice 12" woofer help this unit deliver earthshaking bass. Not as tight as I'd like, but good enough for the hobbyist trying to build a nice home theater.

Cons: not very tight bass
