3 out of 5 eggsDecent, but could be better

Pros: Small
Stylish
Quality Construction
Reasonable Price

Cons: Disappointing sound

Other Thoughts: As another reviewer said, these speakers are lacking in the lower midrange frequencies. You're never going to get a lot of bass from speakers this size, but there's no reason they should be so weak in the lower mids. I also thought the treble was weak. I was expecting great sound, but honestly these speakers sound to me like they're inside a cardboard box. The sound is just that flat. They are also very directional, as in you can tell exactly where the sound is coming from. Good speakers should make you forget they're even in the room. You should hear the music (or movie dialog/sound effects), not the speakers themselves.

These just weren't cutting it for me so I sold them and bought larger Polk Monitor Series II bookshelves and center channel from Newegg that I am WAY happier with. Polk generally makes good speakers but I think these are not one of them. They do seem very well made and are nice to look at, it's just too bad the sound is not up to par.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Cheap, size, and sound. For $130 you cant beat the sound.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: These speakers are not made to put out bass. Paired w/ a good sub ( I have the SAW3000 got it for $90 at best buy) you will not be disappointed.

3 out of 5 eggsMovies = Good Music = Poor

Pros: Clear highs and mids
Good speech reproduction

Cons: absent lows

Other Thoughts: Paired this set with a Polk PWS10 and it feels like it's still missing some low/mids when listening to music. Still an excellent set for cinema applications.

5 out of 5 eggsRead before you buy

Pros: - Beutiful design
- Great overall quality
- VERY heavy - for me this is a good sign
- Excellent reproduction of human voices, musical instruments like piano and others that don't have bass
- Nice stands that allow you to rotate them
- Great not only for movies but for music too, which is rather hard in my opinion

Cons: - Wire clips are very flimsy, like someone said, but I only attach it once and leave it alone. But my wire is heave and now I don't know for how long these clips are gona hold it
- Biggest CON is NO LOW MIDS. Specs claim 95, but they are really weak under 150 already. I had to set up my subwoofer Xover all the way up to 150, and now I can't turn my sub too much because it will rattle. My sub hits hardest if the crossover is at 80. This is a big problem not, and this problem alone may force me to sell them.

Other Thoughts: Got them for 129, with a deal from here, brand new and free shipping. Don't regret buying them even if I resell them or use them for something else.

5 out of 5 eggsCrisp & Clear

Pros: Very crisp detail rich sound. Mids & highs are excellent, no muddying of individual notes, voices etc. I mean you can distinguish every note & instrument. Solid small speakers with quite a punch of true to life sound. Nice sale price. Definate wow, so that's what I've been missing effect.

Cons: Bass is missing to minimal at best (low is 95 Hz) Compared 4 bookshelf speakers I have with the Polks using the A/B switch. The Polks sound was crisp, clear & accurate compared to the muddied bookshelf sound except the bookshelf had the lower bass, that the Polks are missing.

Other Thoughts: Going to use these as sats for a z906 5.1 setup I'm getting. With the bass from the z906 filling out the lows these should sound complete. Just hope the bass is as clear as these are. I'm not an audiophile by any stretch but these speakers have shown me what I have been missing.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat When Paired With A Sub!

Pros: These are great spearers when paired with a good subwoofer-which I just happen to have. I think they would sound even better if I had a newer receiver instead of the 4.1, 15-year-old one that I have. Here is a quick list of pros and cons...

PROS
1. Very clean, crisp sound
2. Attractive, understated design
3. Good quality brand
4. I got them even cheaper on sale here at newegg. :) If you're not to worried, get the open box set for $100.

The only reason I gave these speakers four stars is because of the highs and speaker connections. They are great speakers for the price and even better at the price I got them. :)

Cons: 1. Highs are a bit harsh, but not to bad. (Again, I think this is because I have an older receiver.)
2. Speaker connections are a bit of a pain to access. (This ins't a big deal since you shouldn't have to access them very often.)

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for good speakers at a great price pick these babies up!

3 out of 5 eggsFair price for this product

Pros: These speakers are very affordable and compact. If you do not need high quality speakers, or if you are in a small living room, then these speakers are perfect.

Cons: One of the spring clips broke off of the first speaker I tried to install. I pushed it down to insert the speaker wire and it just snapped. It is the weekend so I will wait until Monday to begin the RMA process. I hope it goes smoothly Until then I just have the center and front speakers plugged in.

Other Thoughts: The speakers sound good for the price paid. Some people are complaining about a lack of bass, anyone concerned with top quality should know that these speakers are not the best. The quality is on par with the price. If you need better quality then buy better speakers. For me, this is a perfect set up until I can afford to buy better floor speakers and a sub-woofer.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price
Appearance
Include brackets
Sound

Cons: Needs a sub to satisfy

Other Thoughts: This isn't an audiophile-quality system, but more than does the job. I paired it with a Polk PSW10 sub, and for my average-sized room (living room/dining room combo) it is MORE than adequate. Decent for music, pretty solid combination for movies. I'll likely upgrade the fronts down the road with something larger, but for the price paid, I'm pleased.

4 out of 5 eggsSounds Great

Pros: The speakers are great with a mid grade receiver. Plenty of clear, crisp sound.

Cons: The system did not come with speaker wire, but in of itself that is not really an issue.

Other Thoughts: The complaints about the lows being inadequate are not valid. This is a speaker system and does not include a sub-woofer, so if you need the low bass sounds make sure that you pick one up.
