Pros: Thank you Newegg for offering this wonderful speaker in the first place. I am here to buy the my 4th pair, however it is out of stock and may or may not be back. I will be sad to have to shop elsewhere for more. I could spend a week talking about this speaker, and Newegg, because both are that good. I saw this elsewhere but that seller did not offer the wonderful pictures and the excellent feedback you get here at the EGG. Newegg does not hide the occasional negative remark made by a person that may have a real gripe....(it happens) new things brake in shipping. They do not manufacture the items but they sure do a good job of presenting and safely shipping the item to you at a very high rate of speed I might add..
Can you tell I am a Newegg FAN? Another thing, I often get more help from the feedback here, than on some of the manufactures home page....go figure..

Cons: Really not a Con, the only thing is if this item is not restocked. I do thank Newegg for the great job they do, and how much info one can acquire, DIY like from the feedback. If you do have a complaint, list it and they will print it.

Other Thoughts: As I was saying above, here at the EGG the pictures go the extra mile and the feedback is so honest; that is what first sold me on this speaker as it is also what sold me on Newegg. Back to the speaker, I piggybacked 2 pair, and compared my 4 ($160) to a pair of very expensive DJ/PA speakers (over $700) for karaoke. I was blown away, by the depth of the cheaper rig. I am running a $1300 mixer, ********* AP812 then it occurred to me to try the same comparison on an un-powered mixer; get this now, a , 3 channel stereo sound mixer / 7 Band other SOUND EFFECTS like the hi-dollar powered mixer. Again, I WAS BLOWN AWAY....BTW This is not a karaoke game; with me this is a professional band or karaoke setup. In all honesty folks, I did all this in a 12 by 12 foot room, but in a club, the bigger the area the larger and more speakers it takes. For home use, indoors, one pair could the the job for you. Newegg has the deal and price and this is the speaker to start with .

5 out of 5 eggsUsed this at a gig

Pros: I play guitar and sing on a regular basis, I am really picky about using a monitor, and the sound that I get from it. I've only used it at one gig so far as a monitor, but it work really well. I ran the sound out of my PA system from the RCA out jack, and I didn't have any feedback or distortion issues. I thinking of getting a second along with a behringer mixer to see if I can use two of them as mains. Anyway, the sound is really crisp because of the two tweeters, and the bass isn't bad either. I would definitely recommend this as a monitor for musicians who do small gigs. For the price and free shipping, you can't beat it. It also sounds great with an Ipod for parties.

Cons: none

Pros: Loud for its size.
Small and compact.
Visually pleasant.
Very affordable($39.99/each + Free Ship)
Build quality is awesome.
Buy it. For the price you cant go wrong.

Cons: Wish it had 1/4" Jacks (L/R)
Wish it had a mounting hole for speaker stands.

Other Thoughts: Used these babies for our Jamhub rehearsals.
Used as an external monitoring system.
We are all happy with it. We bought two for left and right channels. Loud enough for our needs.

3 out of 5 eggsLeaves much to be desired...

Pros: It does enhance band & guitar hero and rock band, as well as karaoke games. Low cost

Cons: Sound crackles, poor packing. The box they send it in is not a shipping box, but a retail store box.... Newegg should place this in a shipping box...

Other Thoughts: The one I received, had been outside the box before I received it. there are surface blemishes on 2 of the corners. The wires that were included were unwrapped (no twist ties) unless that is how they are shipped. Anything above 6 crackles. Not worth the RMA because it would cost half as much to send it back.

Cons: N/A, unless you want it to demonstrate 5.1 theatre effect

Other Thoughts: bought at $50, now $40, angry..., good deal tho.

5 out of 5 eggsJimbo

QUALITY IS GREAT, sound and construction too.
No plastic here.
Worth the full price )))THANK YOU NEWEGG(((
did I mention I love the egg, newegg that is.

Cons: None, other than the box is not quite up to the chore for shipping but the packing inside more than makes up for it the outside. Mine came UPS surprisingly fast and withstood there every effort to road test the box, (UPS is getting better) (most of time) It should be shipped inside a larger box, so put the 2 minute probe on it.

Other Thoughts: I was impressed by ( javaman )' review...he mailed it.
It has great bass for its a high dollar speaker.
You can use a double male 1/8" plug from the PC to one speaker, then the supplied RCA wire as a jumper to a second speaker, your PC can sound like it is piped out of a nice home system. However all adjustment should be with the PC sound card, because this speaker only has a volume control and on/off switch on it.
Not really a problem, but I wish it would allow the 1/4 inch plug on the far unit to operate headphones.....I came here to buy my 2nd pair. I may get more for friends; would make super nice gifts for the hard to please.
Oh, one thing, a true monitor it is, it only has rubber feet on the 45% position, not the 90 or on the ends, but they are cheap. REGARDS....jimbo

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Speaker

Pros: -Awesome quality.
-Amazing Sound
-Good Tweeter/speaker combination
-Size of speaker (small)
-Ability to daisy chain 2 or more speakers.
-Aux input for MP3 players/Ipod etc....

Cons: The Hitmaster logo is pretty cheesy. It has a real 80's feel to it. But with a quality speaker like this I wouldn't even care if it was pink!
Another con is that they marketed this speaker towards gamers. In actuality this speaker can be used for a small home theater system.

Other Thoughts: I tried this out at a nearby electronics store and liked it. So i went home to look at prices and new egg had it on sale for 20 bucks cheaper. So I bought a few. There is nothing to not like about this little powerful speaker. It's clear, does not distort, and is light weight. I would recommend this speaker to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: This is a great monitor.
TO the reviewer who said "
Cons: it is designed for music games only i would have given it 5 eggs but its bad for playing games like MW2 and any other kind of shooter like has a hard time displaying the sound coming from behind you in the game it sounds like there is no bass from the action in the game from behind you."
This is not a 5.1 system, it doesn't even claim to be a 5.1 system. So don't complain that it doesn't produce sounds from behind you. This is like a center channel speaker, it sits right in front of you and sounds great producing sounds in front of you. You can't get an apple and expect it to taste like an orange. Neither can you buy a monitor/single speaker and expect it to perform like a 5.1 system with 6 speakers.

Cons: Would be nicer if it had an 8inch woofer for better bass, but that would make it bigger too.

4 out of 5 eggsGOOD!!

Pros: Very good audio quality for the money, light, you can daisy chain as many as you want, also its pretty loud.

Cons: it is designed for music games only i would have given it 5 eggs but its bad for playing games like MW2 and any other kind of shooter like has a hard time displaying the sound coming from behind you in the game it sounds like there is no bass from the action in the game from behind you.

Other Thoughts: but when you are firing a gun or throwing a granade as the player the sound is very rich.

5 out of 5 eggsThis little guy rocks... hard.

Pros: Sound Quality; Amazing when you consider the price. This is not a $10,000 audiophile's dream theater, but it is a great little speaker. The sounds that come out of it for the price are beyond perfect. You will not believe your own ears when you remember what you paid for it.

Size; Self powered = no need for a receiver. This thing is a nice little package that will fit perfectly in a dorm room or your apartment living room.

Cost; I got one on sale for less than a penny shy of 80 bucks, but would pay up to 150

Build; High Quality, it even feels like a real stage monitor, only it's less than half the size. *if you don't like the 80's feel of the top red "hitmaster" logo it's easily removed.

Setup; One RCA cable, one power plug. and yet it still has pictures in-case you can't read the word input on the back of the speaker.

Convenience; easy setup, no adjustments needed, one control knob for volume, just be sure to place it in a good spot as the audio is angled upward.

Cons: 1) I didn't buy two of them at the same time... I wanted to buy one, that way if I wasn't pleased with the way it sounded or looked I wasn't stuck with two paper weights. This was a big mistake on my part as the sale is now over and I want another one so I can daisy chain them together as per the super simple instructions.

2) Based on the pictures, and my own personal experiences, I was expecting it to be around the size of a real stage monitor. That's my own fault for not looking at the measurements in the product info considering it is a 6.5 inch speaker after all.

Other Thoughts: All things considered this is not a bass hound; it's only a 6.5 midwoofer and does not have a separate subwoofer, although it does play clearly all the way down to around the advertised 40hZ frequencies. (If you need bass that bad then just add a sub to the setup on your own, but you won't miss it that much while gaming and you're gaining high quality sound when you consider its south of 100 bucks to buy one.

I liked the sound it produces so much I even use it for my bedroom BluRay watching, and it prompted me to returned my real 5.1 headphones ( 8 speakers) i paid 200 bucks for because now they're gathering dust. I really like the dual 1" tweeters incased in two 3x5 horns within this little guys shell for movie watching as they really bring forward the dialog in movies. You won't have to blast the volume to hear whats going on in movies anymore with the high end being right up front yet balanced.

Keep in mind they're a hundred dollar speaker not a set of RTI-A9's or Monitor 70
