Pros: Excellent sound both mids and highs, but even though I have a psw10 subwoofer I found the bass better than some of the other reviews.

Cons: Not really a con but they are 38.5" tall!
also the grills are kinda easy to break if your not real careful when taking off to look at the speakers. I did crack one.

Other Thoughts: At 7"w 13"d and 38.5" tall make sure you have the room for them.The sound is much better than I expected with very true voice at moderate sound levels. After many hours (approximately 40 hours only owned a week) the quality seems to be rounding out (breaking in) with each song played. I play Rock Jazz R&B country and classical.

Pros: Excellent mid range sound (tight punch)

Other Thoughts: I love these speakers. They really bring my Onkyo 515 to life and allow for an awesome home theater experience. You need to pair them with a solid sub woofer as they can't really hit deep LFE bass levels, but mids and highs they cover in spades. I use a Polk Audio PSW10, CS2 center channel, and R300's in the rear with an Onkyo NR-TX515, and I am always getting compliments on how amazing my home theater surround sound is. You cannot go wrong with these speakers.

Pros: Excellent mids, accurate highs, sturdy/well built

Cons: Not really a con for the speakers, just for my situation. Since the speakers have a rather narrow base, they could be knocked over pretty easily. The rounded fat pegs don't help much. This hasn't happened yet, but I have 3 kids...it'll happen soon. I guess this is true with any floor standing speaker though.

Other Thoughts: These were a much needed upgrade. I am blown away by the quality of these speakers. I've heard/owned much more expensive speakers that don't nearly measure up to these bad boys. If you're a snobby Audiophile who is looking for true studio quality, please go elsewhere....and spend THOUSANDS more. If you are looking for great home speakers for an phenomenal price, you've found it!

Surround L/R - Polk TL2 X 2

Pros: At $99 each they're by far the best value between price and performance.

Other Thoughts: Didn't want to invest in an amp so the Monitor 70's were not an option. My HK 240 handles these great speakers just fine. Great sound. Too bad they're discontinued.

Pros: Easy to hook up, no assembly required. Great frequency response.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Run these with a CS2 center channel and BIC DV32Bs as surrounds, no sub. These speakers do a great job of providing the base in my apartment and make movies sound much more enjoyable. I wouldn't say that they can replace a subwoofer, though they do great for my current situation as I did not want to get a sub and anger all my neighbors.

Pros: •Good mid-bass; surprisingly tight/controlled. Warm, full sound.
•Mids and highs are not distorted/overshadowed by the bass.
•Ability to bi-amp
•Visually appealing
•Not as large or heavy as I was expecting

Cons: •Highs aren't as detailed as I would have liked, but still very good considering price. These may come to life after burn-in.
•Practically no sub-bass. You will need a subwoofer to get these lows.

Other Thoughts: I used my headphone collection (Sennheiser HD 650, Grado/Alessandro MS2, Denon AH-D2000, Ultrasone Pro 900) as a reference to judge these speakers.

Pros: At the sale price of $99/ea these speakers are an incredible value for the sound qulaity and construction quality of the speakers themselves.

Cons: zero complaints

Pros: These speakers are very impressive. The sound feels very open and lively, making it hard to pinpoint the sound from each speaker. They create an awesome sound stage and stay out of the way. They are also compact and stylish.

Cons: They are hard to stand up straight on thicker carpet. The grills are pretty cheap feeling.

Other Thoughts: I am really surprised by how small these speakers are and the sound that they put out. These speakers will not disappoint. I picked them up for $99/speaker on Thanksgiving and I am using them in my large bedroom. I also picked up the monitor ii 30's and csi1 that match it. I only payed $339 for the whole set and I must admit, I feel like I stole them at that price point. I had a psw202 sub sitting around and picked up a yamaha rxv373 to complete the setup. I enjoy this setup so much, it really does compete with my main setup in the living room. These speakers are great for music and movies; great all around speakers at a price point you just can't beat!
