Polk Audio CS2 Series II Center Channel Speaker (Black) Each

Pros: This is a wonderful center channel speaker. I've had other center channel speakers that were smaller than this unit and I always had a difficult time hearing the dialogue. With this unit hearing the dialogue is not an issue. It comes through crystal clear. The speaker is large but it's worth making room for it. It sounds great with the other Polk Audio gear in my home theatre room.

Cons: Kinda large

Pros: Great speaker. You can't beat the price for performance ratio on this.

Cons: It's big. If you have a small entertainment center stand, you are going to have a tough time fitting this.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again in a heartbeat. I got this on sale for $99 shipped during the xmas deals. Love polk audio.

Other Thoughts: Paid 100 for this and would do it again. I did hours and hours of searching, reading, and researching and I settled on this. It sits between two monitor 60s and it is a great starting soundstage...I plan to add some monitor 70s and a psw 505 to round it out soon lol

Pros: Fantastic sound. Perfect for my Monitor 60's. $99 with a promo code is a steal.

Cons: Very large. Just fits in my tv stand next to my HK avr 240.

Other Thoughts: Had the CS1 but it was getting lost by the M60's. The CS2 is the perfect match for them. Just make sure you have a good receiver.

Cons: Freakin huge, but thats what you get when you have 6" drivers on a center channel. Did I mention great sound?

Other Thoughts: looks a little silly on top of my plasma, but too big to sit in front and my cabinet doesn't have a spot to house a center speaker underneath. I would recommend this for someone who has a place to hide the speaker underneath. Wife hated it at first, but has since grown used to it. As 90% of your sounds are coming through the center speaker, its imperative to have one with good frequency response and good sound. This speaker does the job admirably. I mounted it over the TV with a Center Stage bracket (small), now upgrading the bracket to a large for peace of mind as the speaker doesn't really fit it that well (bought the bracket for another speaker I returned for this one).

Pros: I own both the CS2 and the CS1. They're both great. The CS1 is quite a bit smaller, but the sound quality is just as good in my opinion.

Cons: None

Pros: Great sounding center speaker. Brings out the dialog clearly and surprisingly, the vocals in music as well.

Cons: Heavy and large. Placement may be an issue.

A bigger problem is the shipment, my first unit was shipped from CA, across the continent. The foam supports were broken and there was a loose part inside the cabinet. Decided to return it for a replacement. Big mistake, although Newegg paid for return shipment, it takes 2-3 weeks before they ship out a replacement. The part must be received and inspected before the send out a replacement (if in stock). Better get a refund and buy a new one. If you got it on sale, be prepared to wait a long time.

Other Thoughts: I have bought bulky speakers from Newegg before and this is the first time I had to ship it back. Earlier, I had a broken grill (PSW 505) which Polk Audio responded with a replacement. I have monitor 60s which survived intact despite broken foam pieces. Perhaps I should rethink this source for bulky goods.

Pros: I've had this center channel for about a month now and am very happy with it. I am using a LCR+sub setup, paired with Polk Monitor60s and the sound is spot on. Specifically, dialog on TV or movies is much cleaner and clearer. The towers now handle primarily the rest of the sounds and the center takes over for voices. When it's on super bargain prices it's definitely worth it.

The shape is odd, however I have mine upside down with the angled side allowing me to scoot it closer to the TV's stand than I would otherwise. This way the top is actually flat, and you don't even notice the weird shape. I swapped the left and right as a result.

Other Thoughts: With Polk introducing a new line December 2012, these will be on fire-sale prices pretty regularly. If you are looking for a cheap center channel, grab this!
